What is the ‘Coolest Gadgets’ Scam Network?
The ‘Coolest Gadgets’ Scam Network is not a new one on this blog. It has been covered previously in the review of Comfyrs.com. At the time, I found a network of 110+ scam online clothing stores operated by Starlink Technology Co. Limited, aka. Shopping Technology Co. Ltd. based in China.
However, an update is warranted as I have found some changes in these websites, as well as hundreds of more websites belonging to this network.
Most interesting to note is that all traces of the company name and address have been wiped clean from the websites in this network. The only information you will find is an email ID in the format support@[website].com
It is still pretty easy to identify the websites in this network though, as there are several telltale signs that can be used to spot these scam websites. The first sign is the ‘Special Offer’ pop-up that shows up all these stores.
Even though all the websites in this network sell clothing items, the About Us page of the websites contains text about ‘coolest gadgets’.
is a very nice company which stand on the cutting edge of the field. We are dedicated to sourcing and offering the coolest gadgets.
There are some variations of the above, such as ‘field’ being replaced with ‘fashion’ and ‘gadgets’ being replaced with ‘cloth’.
I found that a new snippet of text appeared on some of the websites within a span of 3 days while researching this network. Look at the screenshot of the website ‘Loyida’ above. The About Us page text has changed completely and now contains the below snippet:

As usual, the same snippet can be found on numerous websites. The full list of websites using both these snippets is given at the end of the article.
The website footer shows that all the websites have been created using Shoplazza, which seems to be a Chinese version of Shopify.
As they are all created using the same platform and are usually low-effort, they have a generic look that you can easily identify if you have seen enough of the websites.
The reviews are overwhelmingly negative, as is the case with most Chinese shopping scam networks such as Xehia Trading Ltd., Econ Technology and many others. Customers have complained about non-delivery, late delivery, false advertising, inferior products and terrible customer service.
The modus operandi of these websites is to run ads on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and others using images stolen from genuine designers. Therefore, you can easily avoid these scams by refusing to shop from unknown websites with weird names which you came across through sponsored posts.
You can check whether a website has been found to be a scam using the search feature on this website. Alternatively, you can also check on Scamadviser.com as I share my lists with them.
However, the scammers keep creating new websites everyday, which makes tracking them all a cat-and-mouse chase. A better way to avoid these scams is to pay attention to the various telltale signs, such as:
- Orange ‘special offer’ pop-up
- The ‘coolest gadgets’ and ‘exciting and edgy fashion’ text snippets on the About Us page
- ‘Powered by Shoplazza’ in the footer
- No contact details except for an email ID, usually in the format support@[website].com
- Discovered through ads on social media sites
If you notice multiple things from the points listed above, there is a high likelihood that the website may be part of the ‘Coolest Gadgets’ Chinese scam network run by Starlink Technology Co.

How to Get Your Money Back from a Scam
Remember: If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.
If you have been the victim of an ecommerce scam, you can take the following steps:
- Lodge a complaint at the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal
- File a complaint with the payment portal and ask whether the payment can be reversed.
- File a complaint with the Consumer Complaints Forum
- Leave a negative review on review portals such as Scamadviser, TrustPilot, OnlineThreatAlerts and SiteJabber
- Report the website to Google using the Suspicious Site Reporter extension for Chrome
- Give a low rating to the website on Web of Trust. You can also install their extension for the same.
