Website Name
hyperhesterstore.com (operated by Umall Technology S.A.R.L, part of the Uniqueness Scam Network)
Website Type
Online Store
Is Hyperhesterstore Fake or Real?
Fake
Why is Hyperhesterstore Fake?
Hyperhesterstore is a website that claims to be selling clothing such as pants and jackets at discounts. The website shows signs of being a Chinese scam right from the start as the images of the products seem to have been copied from websites such as Shein and Amazon. Hyperhesterstore uses generic names for all its products, possibly because they may be selling counterfeits, and the prices seem to be random.
A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 21st September 2023 from China. The registrant’s details such as name, location and contact details have been hidden using a privacy guard. However, there are multiple indications that the site is operated by the Uniqueness Scam Network from China. Therefore, Hyperhesterstore is a new website operated anonymously from a high-risk country.
When I checked the About Us page, I found more indications that the content is copied as the same text has previously been found on websites confirmed to be scams operated by the Uniqueness Scam Network from China.
The Terms & Conditions page states that the site operates as per the laws of France and the below company details of Umall Technology S.A.R.L have been provided:
UMALL TECHNOLOGY S.A.R.L
15 RUE DES HALLES, PARIS, FRANCE (THIS IS NOT A RETURNING ADDRESS)
It seems incredibly likely that Umall Technology S.A.R.L may be a Chinese shell company operating hundreds of fake online stores, as there are several other websites which also claim to be operated by Umall Technology S.A.R.L.
When I checked the company registration information, I found that Umall Technology S.A.R.L was registered in May 2022 under the name of a Chinese national named Yu Baoying. Therefore, it is likely that the incorporation is being (mis)used by Chinese organized cybercriminals to launder the proceeds of scams to China.
In a fresh analysis, I found that there are at least 64 active websites related to Hyperhesterstore and Umall Technology SARL, all of which are likely to be scams. The full list of sites is given at the end of the article.
Hyperhesterstore has no social media presence. The only contact detail provided is the email ID ‘service@hyperhesterstore.com’ and the address of Umall Technology S.A.R.L. Therefore, the only way to get customer support is by email.
There are almost no customer reviews for Hyperhesterstore online. The only review I found was a vague Trustpilot review calling Hyperhesterstore a ‘fake website’. As the site seems to be operated by the Uniqueness Scam Network, customers can expect false advertising, products being shipped from China, late or no delivery, poor customer service and refusal to provide refunds.
If you want to share your review of this site, you can do so in the comments below or on my social media pages.
Conclusion
It is tremendously likely that Hyperhesterstore and the 64 similar sites may all be scams operated by the Uniqueness Scam Network from China, under the guise of shell companies such as Umall Technology S.A.R.L.
Hyperhesterstore is a new site created anonymously from China in September 2023. The website content is copied and the site may be selling counterfeit clothes.
There are multiple signs suggesting that Hyperhesterstore is a Chinese operation but the website states that it is operated by Umall Technology S.A.R.L registered in France. However, it seems to be a Chinese shell company as it is registered under the name of a Chinese national.
Hyperhesterstore does not have any social media pages and the only contact information provided is an email ID.
It is advisable to avoid shopping on Hyperhesterstore and other websites operated by Umall Technology S.A.R.L as there are no reasons to believe that they are genuine businesses.
If you think that you have been scammed by any of these sites, you can contact PayPal or your bank for a full refund. Don’t accept a partial refund citing that the product is not what you ordered and refuse to ship the items back to China as the merchant claims to be located in France.
Update
I received the below Facebook message from someone named 汤虹雨 claiming to be a representative of Umall Technology S.A.R.L, in response to my article on Hyperhesterstore:
