Why is smartestoptions.live (Smartest Options) Fake?

YouTube video

smartestoptions.live (Smartest Options) is a website that claims to be a platform for Bitcoin trading. The name itself is the first red flag, as the says ‘options’ while the company supposedly trades crypto. Any website that clubs options trading and crypto trading together is extremely likely to be a scam, as they have very little to do with each other. However, they are interchangeable in the world of scams.

A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 28th September 2023. The registrant’s details such as name, location and contact information have been hidden using a privacy guard. Therefore, it is a new website that is being operated anonymously.

whois

The website is of extremely poor quality as it contains several writing errors. Important pages such as Terms & Conditions are completely missing, which is a strong indication that Smartestoptions is not a legitimate business.

smartestoptions smartest options scam missing pages

On the home page, there is a section which contains two lies in two sentences.

smartestoptions smartest options scam bitcoin explore uk fake registration
  • Lie #1: The website claims that the website has been established in 2017. This is clearly impossible as the domain name was only registered in September 2023.
  • Lie #2: The website claims that it is run by a company registered in the UK by the name of Bitcoin Explore Limited. When I looked this company up, I found that it has been dissolved in July 2019, years before Smartestoptions was even created.

In any case, a UK registration means next to nothing as it is cheap to obtain and requires no verification. Legitimate investment companies have to be registered with a financial regulator such as the FCA.

The rest of the website does not provide any significant information about the company or what they do. I found that the entire website content is copied and there are at least 172 active websites using the same text, all of which are likely to be scams. The list of the sites is given at the end of the article.

The Team member information given on the website is completely fake too as the people don’t exist in real life. The names are made up and the images are stock photos taken from various sources. Therefore, the website owners are lying about who manages Smartestoptions.

Similarly, the reviews in the ‘Client Feedback’ section are also fake as the same testimonials can be found on numerous scam websites.

Smartestoptions does not have a social media presence, as the links provided on the website are dummy links that lead nowhere. The only contact detail provided on the website is the email ID ‘info@smartestoptions.online’ which is of a different website. There are two different addresses provided on two different pages, both of which are fake.

There are no client reviews available online for smartestoptions.live. However, I found reviews for smartestoptions.online on ScamAdviser which are exclusively negative and confirm that it is an investment scam. Reviewers have stated that the fraudsters keep asking for more money using fake reasons such as signal fees and taxes.

Conclusion

It is quite apparent that Smartestoptions and the 172 similar websites are all likely to be scams. The website is filled with lies and contradictions. The name itself signals a scam as it implies that the company does Options trading while the site only mentions Crypto trading.

The domain name was registered only in September 2023, however, the website claims that it is run by a UK-registered company named Bitcoin Explore Limited since 2017. Registration information shows that this company was dissolved in July 2019, years before Smartestoptions even existed.

The entire website content is copied and the same text can be found on at least 172 other crypto/forex trading websites, all of which may be scams. The testimonials displayed on Smartestoptions’ website can also be found on hundreds of similar scam sites. The reviews and team member details are obviously fake as they contain fake names and images stolen from random sources.

The only contact method provided is the email of a different website operated by the same scammers which has multiple negative reviews. Two USA addresses are provided which are completely fake and Smartestoptions does not have a social media presence either.

It is advisable to avoid investing with Smartestoptions or any of the 172 similar websites, as there are no reasons to believe that they are genuine businesses.
