Why is Beirudiary Fake?

YouTube video

Beirudiary is a website that claims to be selling handmade canes. The website is an obvious scam as the images have been stolen from a team Ukrainian artists called GC-Artis (GC-Artis on Etsy).

The scam is being promoted on Facebook and a customer has reported receiving a cheap copy in a Facebook review. They have stated that the item took 3 months to arrive and was so poorly made that it is practically rubbish. Another customer shared a screenshot of an exchange with the site’s customer service which confirmed that Beirudiary is a counterfeiting scam from China.

A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 3rd January 2023. The registrant’s details such as name, location and contact details have been hidden using a privacy guard. Therefore, Beirudiary is a new website being run anonymously from a high-risk country.

Email:ArronMaryelltl@gmail.com

Firstly, there are multiple things wrong with the text as it falsely claims that the site has been active since 2018 and also mentions a completely different name ‘leimonshop’. Additionally, a free email ID has been provided for correspondence which is highly unprofessional.

More worryingly, this is the same content used on websites in the Uniqueness Scam Network, especially the Bin Estrella GmbH Scam Network. I discovered that there are at least 84 other websites using the same text, all of which are likely to be scams. The list of sites is given at the end of the article. I have also compiled the scam sites I have found till now in the Uniqueness Scam Network Master List.

Despite the confirmation that Beirudiary is a Chinese operation, the T&C page states that the site operates as per the laws of the UK. Further, no company details have been provided anywhere on the website.

fake terms and conditions

There are no social media links given on the website. However, beirudiary.com is being promoted through advertisements on Facebook and Instagram through a Facebook page. The page is called Beirudiary-UK but contains a USA phone number. It also provides an email ID which is not present on the website and the category is mentioned as ‘Advertising/Marketing’. Such nonsense is common with scams.

I could not find any customer reviews for Beirudiary online apart from the negative customer review on Facebook shown earlier in the article. If you want to share your review of this website, you can do so in the comments below or on my social media pages.

Conclusion

It is evident that Beirudiary and the 85 similar sites are all likely to be scams operated by Chinese cybercrime networks under the guise of shell companies registered in the UK.

Beirudiary is a new site created anonymously from China in January 2023. The website owners have obscured the site’s Chinese origin and are claiming that it is managed by a UK-based business.

All the content on the website is copied from a Ukrainian team of artists called GC-Artis. It has been confirmed that the site is selling cheap counterfeits made in China. Only two personal email IDs are provided for support and there is no company information anywhere on the website.

It is advisable to avoid shopping on Beirudiary or any of the 85 similar websites as they do not seem to be genuine businesses.

If you think that you have been scammed by any of these sites, you can contact your bank for a full refund. Don’t accept a partial refund citing that the product is not what you ordered and refuse to ship the items back to China as the merchant claims to be located in the UK.
