Fake

Why is Beepumpkin Fake?

Beepumpkin is a website that claims to be selling customized clothing for babies and kids. The website is an obvious scam as it is impersonating Lilpumpkin and stealing images random Facebook profiles.

The scam is being promoted on Facebook and a customer has written about their experience in a Facebook post. They have stated that the package took more than a month to arrive and yet items were missing. Several other reviews also confirm that Beepumpkin is a bait-and-switch scam from China.

A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 21st February 2022. The registrant’s details such as name, location and contact details have been hidden using a privacy guard. Therefore, Beepumpkin is a new website being run anonymously from a high-risk country.

whois

When I checked the Intellectual Property Rights page, I found the email ID lp@whosebilling.com which has been found to be associated with websites in the Uniqueness Scam Network. I discovered that there are at least 45 other websites related to Beepumpkin, all of which are likely to be scams. The list of sites is given at the end of the article. I have also compiled the scam sites I have found till now in the Uniqueness Scam Network Master List.

The T&C page states that the site operates as per the laws of the Hong Kong, however, the company details of Oclolli Limited registered in Ireland have been provided on the same page:

OCLOLLI LIMITED
108, Cube Building, Monahan Road, Cork, Cork, T12 H1XY, Republic of Ireland

Therefore, Oclolli Limited may be a Chinese shell company registered in Ireland to launder the proceeds of scams to China, as I have observed previously with companies such as Fadel-Beatty Limited.

The Contact Us page of the website carries no information except the email ID support@beepumpkin.com. There are no other contact details anywhere else on the website either.

I found several negative reviews of Beepumpkin on ScamAdviser, Trustpilot and Facebook. The reviews echo the complaints usually seen with sites in the Uniqueness Scam Network such as false advertising, products being shipped from China, late or no delivery, poor customer service and refusal to provide refunds. If you want to share your review of this website, you can do so in the comments below or on my social media pages.

Conclusion

It is apparent that Beepumpkin and the 44 similar sites are all likely to be scams operated by Chinese cybercrime networks under the guise of shell companies such as Oclolli Limited registered in Ireland.

Beepumpkin is a new site created anonymously from China in February 2022. The website owners have obscured the site’s Chinese origin and are claiming that it is managed by an Irish business named Oclolli Limited.

All the content on the website is copied from a customized kids clothing store named Lilpumpkin. A Facebook user also reported that the pictures they posted of their children were used without permission in advertisements.

Only an email ID is provided for support and customer reviews are almost exclusively negative. Many customers did not receive their orders at all and the ones who did are disappointed with the quality and customer service. Reviews confirm that the site is selling cheap counterfeits made in China.

It is advisable to avoid shopping on Beepumpkin or any of the 44 similar websites as they do not seem to be genuine businesses.

If you think that you have been scammed by any of these sites, you can contact your bank for a full refund. Don’t accept a partial refund citing that the product is not what you ordered and refuse to ship the items back to China as the merchant claims to be located in Ireland.

Remember, if it’s too good to be true, it probably is.
