What is the XBP International LTD Scam Network?
XBP International LTD is a company associated with multiple fraudulent websites.
Although it is a real entity and claims to be based in London, it actually operates from China using false company addresses in the UK.
What are the signs that a website is under XBP International LTD?
Some common signs that indicate a site is associated with the XBP International LTD scam include a very new domain name with no history or reputation, lack of contact information, absence of customer reviews or feedback, spelling and grammatical errors, unrealistic discounts or deals, and unsecured or unusual payment methods.
How do they operate?
The scam operates by creating multiple fake online shopping sites that use the same company name and similar web design.
These sites then advertise their products on social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok, or through email or text messages.
Once a customer places an order and pays for it, they may receive nothing, a confirmation email with a fake tracking number, a different product from what was ordered, a very low-quality product, or have their personal and financial information stolen and used for fraudulent purposes.
Misleading Claims by XBP International LTD
XBP International LTD claims to be located at 69 Aberdeen Avenue, Cambridge, United Kingdom, CB2 8DL and 145-157 ST. JOHN STREET, LONDON, ENGLAND, EC1V 4PY. However, these addresses are false, and the company is actually based in China.
The company registration information of XBP International LTD shows that it is owned by Xborderpay Limited registered in Hong Kong. This company has previously been found to be associated with the Uniqueness Scam Network of Chinese shopping scam websites.
This is a common tactic used by fraudulent companies to appear more legitimate.
Most of these companies are registered at the UK Companies House, where it is relatively easy to register a company by providing $15, a pseudo-identity, and a virtual address rented from a virtual address service provider.
We analyzed over 15 websites and found that there are still active ad campaigns being used.
Here are just a few examples of the active campaigns:
They have ads running on various of their affiliated websites, such as vrilu.com, having 5 active ads at the time of this writing…
Other information used:
– +447482873871 (used for all their websites)
– Their emails are all generic, such as “service@websitename.com” (that’s for all their affiliated websites)
Hyivo.com is also one that has an active ad campaign on Facebook.
And nnessi.com still runs ads today with a whopping 83 results of ads active or otherwise.
The list goes on, and you’ll see just how successful XTD International LTD’s affiliate websites are at scamming other people if you dig further down.
If you think that any of Kentesh Ltd’s related sites have scammed you, you can contact PayPal or your bank for a full refund. Don’t accept a partial refund citing that the product is not what you ordered and refuse to ship the items back to China as the merchant claims to be located in the UK.
