Are TheFindWork & TheWorkIndia Fake or Real?
Fake
Why are TheFindWork & TheWorkIndia Fake?
TheFindWork and TheWorkIndia are two identical websites that claim to provide data entry jobs for job seekers. Both the websites are completely fake and these companies do not give any real work. They are scams similar to Resumefilling and Resumetofill that show fake promises of paying for simple work but end up harassing workers for money with fake legal threats.
TheFindWork & TheWorkIndia are clones of each other. For example, look at the screenshots below of both websites containing the same testimonials. Notice how the screenshot of TheFindWork mentions ‘TheWorkIndia’.
I found that these testimonials are completely fake as the people shown do not exist in real life. The reviews have been written by the scammers themselves and the photos of people are stock images.
Domain name lookups of the websites show that TheWorkIndia was registered 7th September 2021 and TheFindWork was registered on 3rd October 2021. The registrant’s organization is mentioned as ‘theworkindia’ and the location is given as Madhya Pradesh, India for both. Therefore, they are new websites.
The quality of the website is extremely poor. The content looks like it was written by someone who barely knows English. TheFindWork & TheWorkIndia’s websites mention that they are ISO 9001:2015 certified, but this is likely to be a lie as no certification number has been mentioned.
The websites are so fake that they do not even contain basic documentation such as Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. There are non-working links in the website footer that do not lead anywhere. It is clear that TheFindWork & TheWorkIndia are not run by professionals.
TheFindWork & TheWorkIndia do not seem to have a social media presence. The contact details given on TheFindWork’s website are two phone numbers and an email address. Both the phone numbers have been flagged as Fraud and Scam in Truecaller. There are also ‘office timings’ mentioned but no address has been given, probably because TheFindWork & TheWorkIndia are fake companies.
There are quite a few reviews for TheFindWork & TheWorkIndia on Trustpilot and ScamAdviser which clearly show that they are scams. Workers have stated that they were given an impossible amount of work to complete. Whether or not they completed the work, they were refused payment citing excuses such as ‘accuracy level’. Further, TheFindWork & TheWorkIndia try to extort money from workers using fake threats of legal action.
Conclusion
It is quite evident that TheFindWork & TheWorkIndia are fake job scams. The websites are identical copies and contain false information such as a non-existent ISO certification and fake testimonials. The sites are brand new as they have been created in September and October 2021.
The phone numbers mentioned on the websites have been flagged as Scam and Fraud by Truecaller users. The sites do not have Terms of Service/ Terms & Conditions and no office address has been mentioned. Therefore, it is likely that these are not real companies at all.
Reviews mention that TheFindWork & TheWorkIndia are fake job scams that promise good money for easy work. However, once the worker submits the work, the companies claim that it has not been done correctly and refuse payment. What’s worse is that they start harassing the person with fake legal threats and try to extort money to drop the case.
It is advisable to avoid signing up with TheFindWork & TheWorkIndia as there are no reasons to believe that they are genuine data entry job providers. If you are being harassed by them, you can try contacting the National Cyber Crime Reporting Helpline No. 155260 to file a complaint.
