Is Swift-pickup Fake or Real?
Why is Swift-pickup Fake?
Swift-pickup is supposedly the website of a logistics company that claims to provide worldwide shipping services. The quality of the website is extremely poor as the design has been created lazily using a cheap template. Worse still is that all the content on the website is generic and even fake in some places. Important information such as the Founder’s name is fake too.
There are hundreds of other logistics sites that contain the same text. I found that there are at least 224 similar websites, all of which may be scams. The list of sites is given at the end of the article.
A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 24th February 2020. However, looking closely at the details and verifying with the Wayback Machine reveals that the site probably became operational only around May 2022. The registrant’s details such as name, location and contact details have been hidden using a paid service. Therefore, it is a new website that is being operated anonymously.
Even though Swift-pickup clearly did not exist before 2022, the website lies in several places that the company has been active since the 1990s. This is blatantly false as there is not a single shred of evidence to prove this.
Similarly, there are fake blog articles on the website that carry dates from 2020 even though the Swift-pickup did not exist back then.
The client testimonials given on the website are quite obviously fake too as the people giving the testimonies are not real.
Swift-pickup does not have any social media presence. There are social media icons given on the website but they are fake as they lead nowhere.
The below contact details are given on the website:
3303 Eigth St, Cumberland, BC VOR 1S0, Canada
I found that the address is completely fake as it points to a random residence. The phone number provided is registered in the USA instead of Canada. It is a virtual number that can be operated from anywhere in the world, which means that the scammers running Swift-pickup are likely to not be located in North America at all.
I could not find any customer reviews for Swift-pickup, which is not surprising considering that it is a new website. If you want to share your review of this site, you can do so in the comments below or on my social media pages.
It seems evident that Swift-pickup is most likely a scam website. It is a new site created in 2022 that is being operated anonymously. The website contains absolutely no company information. In fact, it contains a lot of false information such as the founder’s details, company age and address.
Swift-pickup’s website appears to be highly unprofessional and all the content has been copied from other sources. There are 224 other websites using identical content, all of which may be scams.
It is advisable to avoid making payments to Swift-pickup or any of the 224 similar websites as there are several signs suggesting that they may be fake logistics companies.
Remember: If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.
