Why is Rosely-wakrye Fake?
Rosely-wakrye is a website that claims to be selling mass-produced Chinese goods at low prices. The prices seem to be highly inflated as the same products are available for a fraction of the price on sites like Aliexpress.
There are multiple indications that Rosely-wakrye is part of the Uniqueness Scam Network of fake shopping sites created by organized Chinese cybercriminals.
A domain name lookup of the website shows that rosely-wakrye.com was registered on 24th April 2023. The registrant’s details such as name, location and contact details have been hidden using a privacy guard. However, there are reasons to believe that the site is operated from China, which are revealed later in the article. Therefore, it is a relatively new website being run anonymously from a high-risk country.
When I checked the About page, I found that it contains the same text as websites associated with the Uniqueness Scam Network. Upon analyzing the content, I found that there are at least 193 similar active websites, all of which may be scams. The list of websites is given at the end of the article.
The Return Policy document is obviously fake as it contains the name of a completely different website called itrendgear. Reviews of itrendgear portray it as a scam as customers either never received their orders or got them late and were unable to return the items.
The Terms & Conditions document also appears to be fake as it falsely states that the site operates as per UK laws but no company information has been provided anywhere on the website.
The only contact information provided on the website is the email ID ‘support@rosely-wakrye.com‘ and there is no other way to reach Rosely-wakrye for customer support.
Rosely-wakrye does not seem to have a social media presence and I could not find any customer reviews for it either.
As the site seems to be operated by the Uniqueness Scam Network, customers can expect false advertising, products being shipped from China, late or no delivery, poor customer service and refusal to provide refunds. It is quite obvious that Rosely-wakrye, Itrendgear and the 193 similar sites are likely to be scams operated by Chinese cybercrime networks.
Rosely-wakrye is a relatively new site created anonymously in April 2022. The prices seem to be inflated and there are signs that it is operated by organized Chinese cybercriminals. The website content is copied and the same text has been found on hundreds of fake online stores, some of which have been confirmed to be scams. I found that there are at least 193 active websites using the same content as Rosely-wakrye and are likely to be operated by the same fraudsters.
The Return Policy of the page has been duplicated from a scam site called Itrendgear. Despite multiple indications that Rosely-wakrye is likely to be run from China, the site falsely claims that it operates under UK laws to deceive customers. The only way to contact Rosely-wakrye after making a purchase is by email and the site contains no company information. No customer reviews for Rosely-wakrye could be found online either.
It is advisable to avoid shopping on Rosely-wakrye, Itrendgear or any of the 193 similar sites as they do not seem to be genuine businesses.
If you think that you have been scammed by any of these sites, you can contact PayPal or your bank for a full refund. Don’t accept a partial refund citing that the product is not what you ordered and refuse to ship the items back to China as the merchant claims to be located in the UK.
