Why is Megaency Fake?
Megaency is a website that claims to be selling an assortment of mass-produced Chinese clothing at discounted rates. The website is obviously a scam as it is impersonating Kohl’s even though Megaency has no relation to the brand.
A domain name lookup of the website shows that megaency.com was registered on 30th November 2022 through a Chinese registrar. The registrant’s details such as name, location and contact information have not been provided. There are other indications too that Megaency is run from China which I will reveal later in the article. Therefore, it is a new website being operated anonymously from a high-risk country.
Even though it seems apparent that Megaency is operated from China, the Terms of Service page states that the site operates as per the laws of Ireland. It also contains an email ID of a different website called yiboai.com, which is the first indication that Megaency is likely to be part of a large network of scam online stores.
Additionally, the following company details of Fadel-Beatty Limited have been provided:
Company Name: FADEL-BEATTY LIMITED
Registered office: SUITE 10542, BALMORAL INDUSTRIAL ESTATE, ABBEYLANDS,NAVAN MEATH, C15 DD72, IRELAND (this is not a return address)
Fadel-Beatty Limited was registered in Ireland from China and has been found to be part of the Uniqueness Scam Network, which is a Chinese cybercrime syndicate that operates thousands of scammy websites through shell companies registered in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Cyprus, Hong Kong and more.
The About Us page confirms that Megaency is a part of the Uniqueness Scam Network, as it contains the below phrase which is a telltale sign of a Chinese scam site operated by this syndicate:

I found that there are at least 454 websites related to Megaency and Fadel-Beatty Limited, all of which are likely to be scams. The list of sites is given at the end of the article.
The Terms of Service page of Megaency reinforces that it is not a genuine business as it contains the name of a completely different website called Qfokal. When I checked Qfokal, I found that it is also a Uniqueness scam website operated by Supic Company Limited – a shell company registered in the UK.
Qfokal contains the names of two more websites – iteeuy.com and dbmpk.com – from which only dbmpk is still active. Unsurprisingly, it is also a Uniqueness scam website operated by Fadel-Beatty Limited.
There are no social media pages linked on Megaency, however, I found that at least two Facebook pages for it exist. These page are being run from China and contain the name of yet another website called storekree.com, providing more confirmation of Megaency being part of a network of fake online shops.
The page called ‘Kohls.online’ is being used for running ads on Facebook and Instagram even through it is clearly a fake Kohl’s page as Facebook does not seem to care about protecting its users or the misuse of registered trademarks.
Apart from the details of Fadel-Beatty Limited, the Contact Us page of the website contains no information except for the email ID ‘megaency@yiboai.com‘. The domain ‘yiboai.com’ domain is no longer active, so there does not seem to be any real way to contact Megaency.
The only customer reviews for Meganecy I could find were posted on the Facebook page. Customers have complained that they never received their products after ordering. If you want to share your review of Megaency, you can do so in the comments below or on my social media pages.
The real customer reveiws were hidden among several fake positive reviews apparently posted using hacked Filipino accounts.
Conclusion
There is an incredibly high likelihood that Megaency and the 454 similar sites may all be scams from China operating behind the façade of shell companies such as Fadel-Beatty Limited and Supic Company Limited. Megaency is obviously a scam as it is pretending to be a Kohl’s website despite having no relation to the brand.
Megaency is a new site created anonymously from China in November 2022. The website tries to give a false impression that the site is an Irish business, however, it has relations to Chinese shell companies such as Fadel-Beatty Limited and Supic Company Limited. I found that there are at least 454 websites with apparent relations to Megaency and are likely to be operated by the same owners.
Megaency is being advertised heavily on Facebook and Instagram using a page that openly impersonates Kohl’s. The page has several negative reviews which the scammers have tried to drown out by posting fake positive reviews using hacked accounts.
It is advisable to avoid shopping on Megaency or any of the 454 similar websites as they seem to be scams. Going by the track record of sites associated with Fadel-Beatty Limited, customers are likely to be bait-and-switched with inferior goods or may receive nothing at all.
If you think that any of these sites has scammed you, you can contact PayPal or your bank for a full refund. Don’t accept a partial refund citing that the product is not what you ordered and refuse to ship the items back to China as the merchant claims to be located in Ireland.
