A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 9th April 2020. No information about the registrant such as their name or location is available as it has been blocked for privacy.

There does not seem to be any original content on the website as all the text and images look like they have been lifted from the website Quilters Mart. The prices of products seem to be set at random as some are a bit lower than Quilters Mart while others are much higher. What seems to confirm the suspicion of plagiarized content is that for one of the products on Quilters Mart, different sizes are available and there is an option given to choose the size. FabricsLife has the same line but does not give an option to choose the size. There is also a Christmas Fabric section even though it is the middle of the year.

FabricsLife does not seem to have any social media presence. There are some contact details provided such as email ID, phone number, address and the name Danny Smith. The email ID and phone number were both found to be valid when looked up on MailTester and TextMagic respectively.

The address provided is of a location in Washington. An exact match could not be found on Google Maps and the closest match seems to be a residential address. The phone number carries is a Pennsylvania area code and TrueCaller displays the name as David Delappe.

There are a few customer reviews available on TrustPilot and OnlineThreatAlerts by users complaining that they have been scammed. There is a common complaint that they did not receive any confirmation or delivery after making the payment. It seems that PayPal also refused them refunds as FabricsLife has provided fake tracking numbers which show that the products have been delivered.

From the above information, it seems extremely likely that FabricsLife is a scam. The website seems to have copied all the information from Quilters Mart. The contact details don’t look real and there are multiple users complaining about being victims of the same scam.

We have seen similar websites earlier on this blog like Orsele, LuxyPun and the ManyHNice network. and which have the same modus operandi of copying products from other websites and never actually delivering orders. In those cases, users have also had multiple unauthorized transactions happen through their cards after shopping on these dubious websites. It would be wise to stay away from FabricsLife as it seems to be involved in fraudulent activities.
