Why is Epagetyping.live (MicroExcel Solution) Fake?

YouTube video

Epagetyping.live (MicroExcel Solution) is a website that claims to provide data entry jobs for job seekers. Even though the site pretends that it is a free data entry job platform, the website owners are asking for ‘refundable registration fees’ before workers can start earning. Any company that asks you to pay before you can earn is a scam.

It is a scam similar to sites like TheFindWork.in, TheWorkIndia.in, Resumefilling and Resumetofill which give fake promises of paying for data entry or typing work but end up harassing workers for money with fake legal threats. Continue reading to know the details.

A domain name lookup of epagetyping.live shows it was registered on 23rd September 2022. The registrant’s details such as name, location and contact details have been hidden using a privacy guard.

Even though it is obvious that the website did not exist before 2022, it is falsely stated by the website owners that MicroExcel Solution has been active since 2019. This is another indication that MicroExcel Solution is not a real company.

The overall quality of the website is extremely poor as it contains several errors and broken links. Upon analyzing the website’s content, I found that all the information on the website is fake. The content has been copied and there are at least 5 other websites which are identical and may all be scams. The list of sites is given at the end of the article.

poor quality site content

There are a few user reviews given on the website, but I found that the testimonials are completely fake as the people shown do not exist in real life. The reviews have been written by the scammers themselves and the photos of people are stock images.

There are several other things wrong with the website. For example, the home page displays fake statistics that change every time the page is refreshed. Additionally, Epagetyping have also provided images of cheques as ‘proof’ that they are paying users. This is not something any genuine company does and seems to be a violation of privacy of users. There is also no way to verify if the cheques are real.

Epagetyping aka MicroExcel Solution does not seem to have a social media presence. The following contact details are given on the website:

  • support@epagetyping.live
  • www.work4freelancers.in
  • +91 9081216215
  • 17/56A 1ST FLOOR NAVJEEVAN COMPLEX JAIPUR RAJASTHAN 302001

These details are completely fake. The phone number is registered in Gujarat even though a Rajasthan address is provided. The phone number owner’s name is given as ‘Aarohi’ in Truecaller but this name is not mentioned anywhere on the website. On Whatsapp, the user has no profile picture and the status is ‘Helpline Department’.

More importantly, the name of a completely different website called ‘Work4freelancers.in’ is mentioned. When I checked reviews of Work4Freelancers, it was revealed that they are running a common type of job scam. The name ‘Kavya Sharma‘ has been mentioned by a victim and though this is likely to be a fake name, it hints that a woman may be involved in the scam.

Scammers post fake job postings for data entry, form filling, online typing, etc. on various websites, social media sites and messaging apps. They send candidates a fake job agreement and ask them to pay registration fees.

After the worker completes the work, they refuse payment saying that the typing had too many errors and does not meet quality standards. What’s more, a fake lawyer then starts sending threats that the worker will be taken to court unless they pay more money. Workers should be aware that the job agreement is completely fake and no company can demand money from freelancers for errors.

Work4freelancers’ address is also fake as it is similar to that of Epagetyping.

If you want to share your review of this company, you can do so in the comments below or on my social media pages.

Conclusion

It is quite obvious that Epagetyping (MicroExcel Solution) and the similar websites are all likely to be job scams. All the information on Epagetyping’s website is false and it is not a real company. They are scamming workers by asking them to pay “registration fees” to get work. They then send fake legal threats demanding for more money, citing fake reasons such as “inaccuracy”.

The website is active since September 2022, but they are falsely claiming that they are active since 2019. The reviews on the website are fake too and the entire website’s content is copied. There are other websites using the same content and are all likely to be scams. The contact details provided are also fake or anonymous.

It is advisable to avoid signing up with Epagetyping (MicroExcel Solution) or any of the similar websites as there are no reasons to believe that they are genuine data entry job providers. If you are being harassed by them, you can try contacting the National Cyber Crime Reporting Helpline No. 155260 to file a complaint.
