Why Is Draenat Fake?
Draenat is an online store that, on the surface, appears to be selling only elastic bands in various colours. The product listings are of out-of-stock products copied from AliExpress.
I found that Draenat also has several hidden pages for furniture. Not only is it suspicious for a website to have hidden pages, these product listings have also been copied from various websites such as Amazon and Target. The prices are also unbelievably low, which is a strong sign that Draenat might be a scam.
A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 4th March 2021 in Jiangsu, China. The registrant’s details such as name and contact details have not been provided. Therefore, it is a new website that is being operated anonymously from a high-risk country.
The sparse textual content present on the website has been copied too. The text has been lifted directly from a website called Zooomberg, which appears to be legitimate as it has been operating since 2014.
One of the strangest things about Draenat is that it redirects to a random website called Losersoil.com in order to complete the purchase through PayPal. Losersoil itself is likely to be a scam.
The PayPal account is also extremely shady, as the name is just an email address ‘xvuon7799irc@163.com’.
Draenat does not seem to have a social media presence. There is a section in the footer intended for social media icons, but no links are present. This shows that Draenat is a hastily-made website created by amateurs.
The contact details provided include an email ID, phone number and address. All of these are fake as the email ID does not work, the California address does not exist and the phone number has a Texas area code. The name of the contact person is also misspelt, which means it is probably fake.
The only review that I could find for Draenat is from someone who called their number and found that it belongs to a random lady.
All the signs indicate that Draenat is a scam. It is a new website that is being operated anonymously from China. The website also has several hidden pages and the prices of the items are too good to be true.
The products listings have been copied from various websites such as AliExpress, Amazon and Target. There text content on the Who We Are page has been copied from a legitimate website called Zooomberg. This shows that Draenat is not a professionally-run brand.
During the checkout process using PayPal, Draenat redirects to another website called Losersoil which is also probably a scam. The PayPal account name is just a random email ID.
The contact details provided are all fake. The California address given does not exist. The phone number is of a random person in Texas and the email ID mentioned does not work. This means that Draenat does not have any customer support.
Draenat does not have any social media presence and the only review available is regarding the phone number belonging to a random person.
It is advisable to avoid shopping on Draenat as it seems to be a fake Chinese online store.
