Website Name
Digital Asset Recovery (digitalassetrecovery.info)
Website Type
Crypto Recovery Agency
Is Digital Asset Recovery (digitalassetrecovery.info) Fake or Real?
Fake
Why is Digital Asset Recovery (digitalassetrecovery.info) Fake?
Digital Asset Recovery (digitalassetrecovery.info) claims to help victims of online investment scams recover their lost funds, including cryptocurrency. As I have explained previously, cryptocurrency is nearly impossible to recover, which makes promises by new and unknown companies highly suspect.
Digital Asset Recovery is obviously a scam as I discovered the website through a comment left by a spam bot. The comment told a fake story about someone who had their Bitcoin stolen and successfully recovered it through Digital Asset Recovery.
In this article, I will highlight the warning signs which indicate that Digital Asset Recovery (digitalassetrecovery.info) are nothing but fraudsters preying on people who have already been scammed.
A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 23rd October 2023. The registrant’s details such as name, location and contact information have been hidden using a privacy guard. Therefore, it is a new website that is being operated anonymously from an unknown country.
Even though digitalassetrecovery.info clearly did not exist before October 2023, it is falsely mentioned on the website that they are operating since 2016 and ‘have 10+ years of success’ which makes absolutely no sense. There is no evidence of this being true and seems like a blatant lie to appear credible.
The overall quality of the website is extremely poor and it is obvious that the site was not created by professionals. Important documentation such as the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy are missing and the entire website content has been copied. I found that there are at least 10 other websites using the same content, all of which may be scams. The list of sites is given at the end of the article.
Similarly, the testimonials are completely fake too as the same reviews are present on other websites under various names.
Digital Asset Recovery claims to be based in Italy but there is absolutely no company information provided anywhere on the website. Even the social media icons are fake as they lead nowhere.
The following contact details are given on the website:
Via Enrico Fermi 87 Torino, Torino (TO), 10144 Italy
WHATSAPP ONLY : +39 (350) 904-5646
TELEGRAM : @digitalassetsrecovery
digitalassetsrecovery@writeme.com
Firstly, the address is fake as it points to a random road in Italy. The email ID seems to be fake too as writeme.com does not seem to be active.
Another huge red flag is that they communicate anonymously through WhatsApp and Telegram. The WhatsApp number is a virtual line that can be operated from anywhere in the world. This means that the people running Digital Assets Recovery are likely to be lying about being based in Italy.
Digital Asset Management is labeled as an ‘investment management company’ on WhatsApp, which suggests that the same fraudsters also operate Investment Scams.
I could not find any reviews for digitalassetrecovery.info on sites such as ScamAdviser, Trustpilot and others. If you want to share your review of this website, you can do so in the comments below or on my social media pages.
Conclusion
It seems quite obvious that Digital Asset Recovery and the 10 similar websites are likely to be fake money recovery agencies trying to scam people who have already been scammed. The site is being operated anonymously since October 2023 and the website owners are lying about being in business for more than a decade.
The website is of low quality and all the content has been copied. There is no company information mentioned anywhere and important documentation such as the Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions are missing. The testimonials are fake too, making it clear that Digital Asset Recovery is not a legitimate business.
Digital Asset Recovery does not have a social media presence and no reviews for it could be found. The address provided is fake and the only way to contact them is using anonymous methods like WhatsApp and Telegram.
It is advisable to avoid hiring the services of Digital Asset Recovery and 10 similar sites as they do not show signs of being legitimate crypto recovery agencies.
