Fake
Why is Cryptsminer Fake?
Cryptsminer is a website that claims to be an investment platform for generating profits through Bitcoin mining. There are several signs that the website is a scam. The first is the overall shabbiness of the website that uses the same template as countless similar fake websites.
The second sign is that there is no information given about how Cryptsminer generates profits. Members just have to sign up, make a deposit and apparently, profits will magically appear in their account in just 24 hours.
Anyone with even the slightest of knowledge about crypto mining will know this is not how things work and how unprofitable Bitcoin mining is currently.
Cryptsminer also has a two-tiered 5%-2% referral system, which means that members earn commissions from the deposits of their referrals, as well as referrals of referrals. This indicates that Cryptsminer is a pyramid scheme, if not an outright fraud.
A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 16th November 2020. The registrant’s name, location and contact details have been hidden using a paid service. Therefore, it is a new website that is being operated anonymously.
Even though the website clearly did not exist before 2020, the About Us page of the website claims that Cryptsminer was created in 2017. The text on this page has been copied from various sites like HashFlare that have been exposed as scams. Therefore, it is clearly a lie.
In fact, none of the content on the website is original. The site contains text such as the following:
Crypts Miner offers a unique opportunity for everyone who wants to make money on investing in the progressive currency Bitcoin. Our main activity is the mining of the cryptocurrency, through the use of special computers – miners and algorithms used to solve complex equations. Increasing our capital in Bitcoins, we also carry out one more activity – the trade in cryptocurrency on the exchange.
Acting in two directions at once, we receive a stable profit, we guarantee the success of the project and the regularity of payments. We work around the clock, concluding the most successful transactions, trading on the exchange in order to get maximum benefits.
All the text has been lifted from various sources and the same can be found on at least 59 other websites, all of which may be scams. The list of sites is given at the end of the article.
Cryptsminer provides some documentation in order to appear legitimate. However, the ‘mining contract’ given on the website is actually the registration certificate of a non-existent quarrying company. It is obvious that this company has no relation to Cryptsminer.
Crypsminer provides the address of this defunct company everywhere, which means that it is a fake address.
The company information in the dashboard also contradicts this information as the company name is given as ‘Crypts Miner Investment Company’ which obvious does not exist.
The FAQ section of the website is generic too and does not provide any relevant information about the company.
Cryptsminer does not seem to have a social media presence. The contact details given on the website include an email ID, phone number and address. These details are quite clearly fake.
The email ID was found to be unable to receive emails when tested. The address given is the same as the unrelated company’s, which means it’s fake too. The phone number carries the +1 country code of the USA, even though Cryptsminer is supposed to based in the UK.
The phone number is also a VoIP line, which means that it can operated from anywhere in the world.
No reviews for Cryptsminer could be found, which is a bit surprising for a five-month-old website.
Conclusion
It is quite obvious that Cryptsminer is a scam. The website is full of false information which makes it evident that it is not a real company. They promise profits in 24 hours without any effort and have a two-tier 5%-2% referral commission program. This suggests that Cryptsminer is either a fraud or a pyramid scheme.
The website states that the company was established in 2017, even though the domain name was registered only in November 2020. The reason for this is that the entire text of the website has been copied from various sources. There are at least 59 other websites using the same content, all of which may be scams.
The company registration document on the website as a ‘mining contract’ belongs to a quarrying company that was dissolved in July 2020. This defunct company’s address is used throughout Cryptsminer, which obviously means that it is fake.
The contact details given on the website are also fake. The email ID does not work. A UK address has been mentioned everywhere but the phone number has the country code of the USA. This number is an internet calling line that can be operated from anywhere.
Therefore, there is no reason to believe that Cryptsminer is based in the UK or the USA. It is most probably operated by scammers from Africa.
It is advisable to avoid investing with Cryptsminer as it is not a genuine company. The 59 other websites using the same text can be equally risky and it would be wise to avoid them too.

- Report the website to Google using the Suspicious Site Reporter extension for Chrome
- Give a low rating to the website on Web of Trust. You can also install their extension for the same.
- If the company has a listing on Google My Business or Google Maps, file a complaint using the Business Redressal Complaint Form. Also, leave a negative review explaining what kind of experience you had.
