Why is Bitzent Fake?

YouTube video

Bitzent is a website that claims to be a cryptocurrency trading platform. They promise returns as ridiculously high as 250% in 3 months. Such returns are not realistic or sustainable and make it obvious that the website is a scam. Bitzent also has a referral commission program where users can earn 25% commissions on signups by their referrals. This indicates that the platform may be a pyramid scheme if not outright fraud.

A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 27th September 2022. The registrant’s details such as name, location and contact details have been hidden using a privacy guard. Therefore, bitzent.com is a new website that is being operated anonymously from an unknown country.

whois

Even though it is obvious that Bitzent’s website did not exist before September 2022, it is falsely stated on the home page that the site has won awards in 2019 and 2020 for being the ‘Best Crypto Broker’. There is absolutely no evidence of this being true.

The website is poorly made and appears to be created using a cheap template, as with most fake investment platforms. Upon analyzing the website’s content, I found that all the text on the website has been copied and used on at least 133 other websites, all of which are likely to be scams. The list of sites is given at the end of the article.

I also found that there are several websites that are clones of Bitzent, suggesting that the same scammers may be operating a large number of websites.

  • bitgeer scam

There are no company details given anywhere on the website. Bitzent is clearly not a legitimate company run by professionals as the website does not even have a Terms of Service document.

tos missing

Bitzent does not have a social media presence. There are no contact details provided on the website and the only way to contact Bitzent is through the ‘live support service’ on the website. As the site owners are using only anonymous methods to communicate, it appears that they are deliberately trying to hide their identity.

no contact details provided

There are a few reviews for Bitzent posted on Trustpilot. Most of these reviews appear to be fake and it is likely that the scammers have paid users to write them. The positive reviews have been written by suspicious accounts and the ‘date of experience’ is obviously fake.

There is only one negative review which seems to be the only genuine one. The reviewer has stated that Bitzent is an Advance Fee Scam as they keep asking for more money when the user requests to withdraw.

Conclusion

It seems quite obvious that Bitzent and the 133 similar websites are likely to be scams. There are several signs suggesting it is not a genuine crypto trading platform. The website is new and is being operated anonymously. The returns being promised are too good to be true.

The site is being run by unknown owners since September 2022 and there is nothing to suggest that it is a legitimate business. The website owners are lying that the company is active since 2018-2019, even though there is no proof of this. I discovered 133 other websites that are similar, if not identical, to Bitzent and all seem to be scams.

Bitzent has no social media presence and can only be contacted anonymously through the website itself. The scammers seem to have paid users on Trustpilot to write positive reviews. There is a single negative review which seems to be the only real one. It states that Bitzent is a scam as they never allow withdrawals and endlessly ask for more deposits.

It is advisable to avoid investing with Bitzent or the 133 similar sites as there are no reasons to believe that they are genuine crypto trading platforms. As a general rule, never send crypto to strangers as it cannot be recovered.

  4. Report the website to Google using the Suspicious Site Reporter extension for Chrome

  7. Report the scam site to web filtering companies.
