Benchmark Financial Loans (benchmarkfinancialloans.com)
Is Benchmark Financial Loans Fake or Real?
Why is Benchmark Financial Loans Fake?
Benchmarkfinancialloans.com is supposedly the website of a company named Benchmark Financial Loans located in Canada. The website claims that the lender has a ‘high approval rate’ for loans exceeding CA$10,000 even to people with bad credit scores. This is too good to be true and lenders offering such loans are usually predatory or simply frauds.
A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 6th February 2022. The registrant’s details such as name, location and contact details have been hidden using a paid service. Therefore, it is a new website that is being operated anonymously.
The overall quality of the website is quite poor as it contains hard-to-read text and pixellated images. This shows that the website was created by amateurs on a low budget. The About Us page of the website contains the following text:

I found that this text has been copied and another website Union State Funding (unionstatefund.com), which is likely to be a scam too, is using the same content. Additionally, I found threads on ScamWarners.com going as far back as 2017 regarding 90+ other websites (now defunct) which were also using the same content. I have a strong suspicion that there are numerous clone websites of Benchmark Financial Loans currently active that have deliberately been hidden from the public to avoid the scam from being exposed.
Benchmark Financial Loans’ website contains no real information about the company or the people running it. I did not find any social media presence. The Contact Us page of benchmarkfinancialloans.com contains the address of a random office space in Ontario, Canada. The only other contact method provided is the email ID ‘firstname.lastname@example.org’.
I could not find any reviews for Benchmark Financial Loans online. If you would like to share your review of this lender, you can do so in the comments section or on my social media pages.
*Update* One of the victims of these fraudsters who lost thousands of dollars to this scam reached out to me to share their harrowing experience:
Tried getting a loan online from benchmark financial loans
380 Wellington St,Tower B
Then he said I needed to buy a insurance policy of $2950 thst would secure my loan since I don’t have any collateral. Then he says because My credit isn’t all that good I needed to get the maximum insurance policy coverage wich was another $2950
Sent the payment by e transfer to an email he said was a worker in another department. To [redacted]@gmail.com
Turns out she’s another victim of fraud he made her withdraw my money from her account to go deposit in a bitcoin ATM machine with his code.
Then I called him he Said my loan was going to be deposited in my account not to worry so them I kept calling after that it went straight to the a voice-mail wich means he blocked me.
It is quite clear that Benchmark Financial Loans and the 58 similar websites including Union State Funding have an extremely high likelihood of being scams. There are several signs suggesting that Benchmark Financial Loans may be an Advance Fee Scam or a predatory lender offering loans at exploitatively high interest rates. The website is promising quick and easy loans upwards of CA$10,000 to Canadians with bad credit scores. In an Advance Fee Loan Scam, people in desperate need of funds are asked to pay fees for processing a loan which they never actually receive.
The website of Benchmark Financial Loans is relatively new. It was created in February 2022 and is being operated anonymously. There is absolutely no information about the company and its management team. All of the information on the website is copied as the same content can be found on 90+ other websites, all of which may be scams.
Benchmark Financial Loans has no social media presence and one of their victims has confirmed that it is a scam. The address given on the website is fake and the only way to contact them is by email.
It is advisable to avoid applying for a loan with Benchmark Financial Loans and Union State Funding as they have been proven to be fraudulent lenders.
