Why Is Baceny Fake?

Baceny is a website that claims to be an online clothing store selling ‘all-over’ printed hoodies. It does not seem to be professionally made and there are several weird things going on. For example, the main banner on the website shows some coffee-themed hoodies that are nowhere to be found. The ‘Shop’ section of the website only has two products on offer.

If you navigate to the website directly, you can only find some gaudy hoodies for sale. However, I did some digging and found out that there are numerous hidden pages on the website for products such as quilts, tumblers, beddings, rugs and more.

A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 30th March 2020. The registrant’s information such as name, location and contact information has been hidden for privacy.

The content on the website looks like it has been copied, as there are at least 40 online stores using the same text. The full list is given at the end of the article.

The Terms & Conditions page mentions the wrong website name shopquipo.com, which redirects to homelaza.com. Homelaza also has the same About Us page content as Baceny, suggesting that these websites are all part of a scam network.

Baceny does not have a social media presence. The contact details given on the website include an email ID and an address. No phone number has been provided. The address is likely to be fake, as it is a building in Miami where there is no evidence of Baceny’s office or store being located.

There are almost no reviews available for Baceny, except for a few on Scamdoc. The reviews are highly negative and the complaints include non-delivery, wrong size products being delivered and unresponsive customer service.

It seems extremely likely that Baceny is a scam. The website is poorly-made and contains hundreds of hidden pages. The same content is being used by at least 40 online stores. The Terms & Conditions mentions the wrong website name, which redirects to another website that uses the same content as Baceny. Therefore, it seems that Baceny is part of an organized network of scam websites.

The contact details seem to be fake and the reviews are highly negative. Customers have said that their orders were never delivered and customer service does not respond to emails. It is advisable to avoid shopping on Baceny, as it does not seem to be a genuine store.
