Why Is RPigsW Fake?
RPigsW is a website, which apart from sounding like a question you would ask while you’re high, claims to sell barware, drinkware and sculptures. The website layout is exactly the same as the those covered in the article on Orsele and Sessinae. The products look like they have been copied directly from Etsy because the images are low-resolution and the description are exactly the same. The description of the Three Stooges Wine Glasses even contains the name of the seller from Etsy.
A domain name lookup of the website shows that RPigsW was registered on 22nd June 2020 in Lumberton, North Carolina. The registrant’s name is given as Tony Maki, the phone number is +1.9104740303 and the email ID is AbbieSavage1250@gmail.com. The phone number shows the location as Lumberton when searched on TrueCaller, but the provider is Bandwidth. It is a VoIP service, which means that the owner of the number doesn’t need to be physically located in Lumberton, North Carolina.
A Google search for the email ID showed that the same registrant has registered 30 other domains, which include the likes of Sessinae, Sicism, Petcrot and others which have already been determined to be scams. The complete list is given at the end of the article.
The About Us page of RPigsW contains the text ‘we select our products very carefully in order to meet the demands and needs of our valuable customers. We consider customers as our precious asset’. A Google search for this snippet brought up more than 220 websites which are using the same text. Among these are the websites covered in the Sessinae article, plus hundreds of other websites which have been marked as High Risk by websites like Scamdaviser, OnlineThreatAlerts and TrustPilot. The Contact Us page of RPigsW provides an email ID, address and phone number. The email ID is an unofficial ID hosting on outlook.com. I was not able to determine whether it works. The phone number was shown as belonging to Quenteric Reed from Tuskegee, Alabama when checked on TrueCaller and is also provided by Bandwidth. The address given is not an office but a residence.
When I tried to complete the checkout process via PayPal, it showed that the account belonged to the email ID elfriedagarett@gmail.com which looks like a personal account.
RPigsW has no social media presence and I couldn’t find any user reviews.
It is extremely likely that RPigsW is a scam. It seems to be part of a network of almost 250 websites which are considered high risk for scams. It has strong associations to websites like Sessinai and Sicism which have been determined to be fake. The product images and descriptions are copied from Etsy. The phone number and address seem to be fake and there are no user reviews to vouch for the authenticity of RPigsW. There are high chances of customers having a bad shopping experience with this website.

How to Get Your Money Back from a Scam
Remember: If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.
If you have been the victim of an ecommerce scam, you can take the following steps:
- Lodge a complaint at the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal
- File a complaint with the payment portal and ask whether the payment can be reversed.
- File a complaint with the Consumer Complaints Forum
- Leave a negative review on review portals such as Scamadviser, TrustPilot, OnlineThreatAlerts and SiteJabber
- Report the website to Google using the Suspicious Site Reporter extension for Chrome
- Give a low rating to the website on Web of Trust. You can also install their extension for the same.
