Why is Promint Fake?
Promint (promint.online) is a website that claims to generate profits for investors through crypto trading. Promint promises returns as unbelievably high as 250% in 7 days, making it apparent that it is a fraudulent investment scheme. Such high returns are not realistic or sustainable.
Promint also has a tiered 3%-4%-5% referral commission scheme (that it weirdly calls a one-tier program), which means that investors get additional returns if their referrals and referrals of referrals make deposits on the site. This hints that Promint is likely to be a pyramid scheme if not an outright scam.
A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 21st March 2022. The registrant’s details such as name, location and contact details have been hidden using a privacy guard. Therefore, it is a new website that is being operated anonymously.
Even though the domain registration data clearly shows that Promint did not exist before March 2022, it is falsely mentioned in several places on the website that the company is active since 2018. This is a blatant lie to create an illusion of legitimacy.
Promint falsely states it is a ‘safe and legal’ company registered in the UK. However, the registration certificate on the website is fake as the company number belongs to an unrelated firm. In any case, a UK registration certificate means nothing as companies offering financial services in the UK must be registered with a regulator such as the FCA.
Promint’s website is poorly made and appears to be made using a cheap template, as with most fake investment websites created by African or Asian scammers. The About Us page contains the following text:

An international financial company engaged in investment activities, which are related to trading on financial markets and cryptocurrency exchanges performed by qualified professional traders.
Our goal is to provide our investors with a reliable source of high income, while minimizing any possible risks and offering a high-quality service, allowing us to automate and simplify the relations between the investors and the trustees. We work towards increasing your profit margin by profitable investment. We look forward to you being part of our community.
I found that the above text as well as all the other content on the site has been copied. Even the testimonials on the website are not original, indicating that Promint is not a genuine company with happy clients. There are at least 253 other websites using the same text, all of which may be scams. The list of sites is given at the end of the article.
None of the information given on the website seems to be real as even the information about the company’s management team is fake. The pictures of the employees are taken from random sources such as news articles and the links to their profiles don’t work.
Promint does not have a social media presence. The contact information given on the website includes a California address (even though the company claims to be registered in the UK) and two email addresses:

I found that the address is fake as it points to a random street with nothing to suggest that Promint has an office there. There is also a link to a Telegram group but it does not work.
I could not find any reviews of Promint online on sites like ScamAdviser and Trustpilot. If you want to share your review of this platform, you can do so in the comments below or on my social media pages.
Conclusion
It seems quite evident that Promint and the 253 similar websites are likely to be scams. There are a number of signs suggesting that Promint is not a genuine investment platform.
Promint is promising unrealistically high profits such as 250% in 7 days. They also have a three-tier referral commission program which is a common feature of illegal investment schemes.
The site itself is new as it is only active since March 2022. Even though the website is new, it is falsely stated in several instances that Promint is active since 2018. Promint claims to be registered in the UK but the registration certificate is fake too. Their address is also false as it is the location of a random street in California.
All of the content on the website is copied. Everything from the information about team members to the client testimonials is fake. The same content can be found on at least 253 other websites.
The company has no social media presence and can only be contacted by email. There are no clients vouching for Promint online in the form of reviews either.
It is advisable to avoid investing with Promint or the 253 similar sites as there aren’t any reasons to believe that they are genuine investment firms. As a general rule, never send crypto to strangers as it cannot be recovered.

- File a complaint with the payment portal. However, investment scammers mostly use methods such as Bitcoin, Western Union, MoneyGram and other untraceable methods which make refunds impossible.
- File a formal police complaint with the Cybercrime department.
- Leave a negative review on review portals such as Scamadviser and TrustPilot.
- Report the website to Google using the Suspicious Site Reporter extension for Chrome
- Give a low rating to the website on Web of Trust. You can also install their extension for the same.
- If the company has a listing on Google My Business or Google Maps, file a complaint using the Business Redressal Complaint Form. Also, leave a negative review explaining what kind of experience you had.
