Why is Feecoz Fake?

Feecoz is a website that claims to be selling an assortment of mass-produced Chinese goods at low prices. The prices of the items seem to be somewhat random as all of them are priced at $2.99 and the same can be bought at a lower price on Aliexpress. The nonsensical pricing gives a feeling that something is not right with the site.

A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 27th March 2022. The registrant’s details such as name, location and contact information have been hidden using a privacy guard. However, there are clear indications that Feecoz is operated from China, which I will go into later in the article. Therefore, Feecoz is a new website operated anonymously from a high-risk country.

The website contains the following text:

I found that there are at least 320 websites using the same content as Feecoz. Qti.Ai’s Scami uncovered 94 additional sites using this text too, adding up to a total of 414 websites which are likely to be scams. The full list of sites is given at the end of the article.

It should also be noted that the email address provided for customer support is a free email account that may not even be active.

Feecoz has a bizarre page called Advertisement Disclaimer containing disclosures that make no sense at all. The disclosures say that Feecoz’s website is an ‘advertisement’ and not a ‘news publication’, which is odd because the website does not resemble a news publication in the least. This indicates that Feecoz is not run by a genuine business.

While testing the checkout process, I found that the PayPal account associated with the website has the Chinese name ‘国志（深圳）贸易有限公司’ which translates to ‘Guozhi (Shenzhen) Trading Co., Ltd.’. This is alarming as there is no mention of China or the company anywhere on Feecoz’s website.

Foocoz does not seem to have a social media presence as no pages are mentioned on the site and I could not find any independently either. The Contact Us page of the website contains the same email ID mentioned above as well as the below company information:

I have written about Selead Ltd previously in my article regarding the website Mrkimberly, which was found to be a Chinese scam part of the Uniqueness Scam Network. Even though Feecoz claims to be operated from Cyprus, Selead Ltd’s company registration information reveals that it has Chinese owners. This means that Feecoz is covertly operated from China and is trying to mislead customers about where it is doing business from.

I could not find any customer reviews for Feecoz, which is a bit surprising as the site is a few months old already. If you want to share your review of Feecoz, you can do so in the comments below or on my social media pages.

Going by past reviews of sites in the Uniqueness Scam Network, it is likely that customers will be bait-and-switched with low-quality goods or counterfeits. Common complaints with these sites include false advertising, late or no delivery, poor customer service and refusal to provide refunds.

Conclusion

There is a severe likelihood that Feecoz and the 414 similar sites may all be scams operated by the Uniqueness Scam Network from China.

Feecoz is a new site created anonymously from China in March 2022. I found that there are 414 websites that have the same content as Feecoz and are likely to be operated by the same set of scammers.

While the website tries to give the false impression that Feecoz is operated by Selead Ltd based in Cyprus, the company registration reveals that it may be a shell company as the owners are Chinese. The fact that the PayPal account associated with the website is Chinese provides further proof it being a Chinese operation.

Feecoz has no social media pages and no customer reviews could be found for it online. It is advisable to avoid shopping on Feecoz or any of the 414 similar websites as they are likely to ship nothing at all or deliver low-quality goods.

If you think that you have been scammed by any of these sites, you can contact PayPal or your bank for a full refund. Don’t accept a partial refund citing that the product is not what you ordered and refuse to ship the items back to China as the merchant claims to be located in Cyprus.
