Why is Mulepony Fake?
Mulepony is a website that claims to be selling clothing such as sweaters at discounts. The items are shipped from China and the same products are seemingly being sold on sites such as Amazon by Chinese brands. However, Mulepony’s prices are too good to be true when compared with sellers on reputable websites, suggesting that Mulepony may be selling knock-offs.
A domain name lookup of the website shows that mulepony.com was registered on 12th December 2023. The registrant’s details such as name, location and contact details have been hidden using a privacy guard. However, there are multiple indications that the site is operated by the Uniqueness Scam Network from China. Therefore, Mulepony is a new website operated anonymously from a high-risk country.
When I checked the About page, I found that it contains the same text as websites associated with the Uniqueness Scam Network. Upon analyzing the content, I found that there are 370+ similar active websites, all of which may be scams. The list of websites is given at the end of the article.
The Terms & Conditions page states that Mulepony operates as per the laws of Hong Kong and provides the below company information:

Company Address: ROOM I-1, 4/F, BLOCK 2 GOLDEN DRAGON INDUSTRIAL CENTRE, 162-170 TAI LIN PAI ROAD, KWAI CHUNG, NT, HONG KONG
Mycoloureye Co., Limited has been labelled as a scam by websites such as MalwareTips, De-Reviews, MyAntispyware, Scamwatcher and others for its association with numerous fake online stores operated by the Uniqueness Scam Network. I am not sure if Mycoloureye Co., Limited is a real company as I could not find the company registration information.
Mulepony does not seem to have a social media presence but I found out that it is being promoted on Facebook through fake Invicta pages all called ‘Watchediscountstore’ that are running advertisements. The ads for watches are extremely strange as Mulepony appears to be selling sweaters and the pages mention a completely different website called flavosh.com.
The only contact information provided on the website is the email ID ‘customerservices@mulepony.com’ and the address of Mycoloureye Co., Limited. Therefore, the only way to contact Mulepony after making a purchase is by email.
I could not find any customer reviews for Mulepony online. As the site seems to be operated by the Uniqueness Scam Network, customers can expect false advertising, products being shipped from China, late or no delivery, poor customer service and refusal to provide refunds. Conclusion
It is tremendously likely that Mulepony and the 370+ similar sites may all be scams operated by the Uniqueness Scam Network from China, under the guise of shell companies such as Mycoloureye Co., Limited.
Mulepony is a new site created anonymously from China in December 2023. The entire website content is copied and the prices are too good to be true.
There are multiple signs suggesting that Mulepony is a Chinese operation and the company details of Mycoloureye Co., Limited registered in Hong Kong are provided. However, the website states that the products are shipped from China.
Mulepony is being promoted on Facebook through dubious pages that seem to be selling counterfeit Invicta watches. The only contact information provided is an email ID. No customer reviews could be found for it either.
It is advisable to avoid shopping on Mulepony and other websites operated by Mycoloureye Co., Limited as there are no reasons to believe that they are genuine businesses.
If you think that you have been scammed by any of these sites, you can contact PayPal or your bank for a full refund. Don’t accept a partial refund citing that the product is not what you ordered and refuse to ship the items back to China as the merchant’s company information appears to be fake.
