What is the Middle Bridge Ltd. Scam Network?
Fellow scam fighter Suzie recently got in touch with me to share her findings of the curious case of a ‘scam triangle’. Digging deeper into the information provided by Suzie revealed a network of at least 392 websites that all seem to be scams. A UK-registered company named Middle Bridge Ltd. is at the centre of this network. Therefore, I am dubbing this network as the Middle Bridge Ltd. Scam Network.
This scam network consists of three companies – Middle Bridge Ltd, Beimac Ltd. (aka Beimax) and Kenting Ridge Ltd. that are all related. It starts with Middle Bridge Ltd. and the company’s Director – a person named Kelly Nhat Hong Nguyen. Kelly is also the Director of a company named Kenting Ltd. which was incorporated just a few days before Middle Bridge Ltd.
The address used by Kenting Ridge is a dummy address that is also used by thousands of other companies. However, there is one company in particular that seems to be in bed with both Middle Bridge and Kenting Ridge.
Beimac Ltd. shares the same address as Kenting Ridge Ltd. and has other relations (discussed later) that show it is part of the same network.
Google reveals that there are hundreds of websites operating under the names of these three companies.
These websites look like typical low-quality Chinese stores that are often set up for the explicit purpose of scamming customers. They have nonsensical names that are barely passable as English and offer items at too-good-to-be-true prices. While most of the websites seem to be selling women’s clothing, some websites also sell other items such as electronics. The most popular website in the network, Keychron, claims to sell mechanical keyboards that are popular on Kickstarter.
Domain name lookups of the websites show that they are predominantly registered in China.
Reviews are not abundant for these websites. The ones which do have reviews have been rated negatively.
Reviews across the board echo the same complaints. Customers placed orders on these websites that, first of all, took ages to arrive. When they did arrive, they were infuriatingly disappointing as the products were nowhere near as advertised. When customers contacted the company for a return, they were offered insultingly low refunds and were asked to bear the shipping costs of returning the items.
Surprisingly, I also found that some of these websites had positive reviews. On closer inspection, the positive reviews were left by new accounts with just 1 review each. This suggests that these are fake reviews. Some of these were even ‘verified’.
The operators of this scam have gone to even further lengths to cover up the stench of their fraudulent dealings. The telltale signs of these websites were the details on the Contact Us page. If they contained the following information, it was obvious that they are part of the scam network:

- Beimac Limited or Beimax Limited
- 6-9 The Square, Stockley Park, Uxbridge, Middlesex, England, UB11 1FW
- 1010 Cambourne Business Park, Great Cambourne, Cambridge, CB22 6DP
- 13/F, Prosper Commercial Bldg., 9 Yin Chong Street, Kowloon, Hong Kong
However, the scammers have smartened up and have started erasing the above information, replacing them with new fake information instead. Now they use alternate company names such as ‘Nova Silk Road Sarl’ which is supposedly based out of Paris, France. The below screenshots show examples of websites that used to carry the information given above but no longer do.
This clearly shows an organized effort to continue misleading consumers. I tried to get as much information as possible about these websites through Google, Alexa and their IP addresses. I was able to conclude with strong evidence that the three companies are indeed related and operating as a network. Not only do they share contact information, but they are also hosted together, as evidenced by the fact that 315 (90%) of websites in the network share just 7 IP addresses.
There is little doubt in my mind that these 392 websites have been created with the sole intention of running a global e-commerce scam from China. Make sure you check the Contact Us page of any e-store with an unknown reputation. Due to scammers being self-aware and trying to cover up their tracks, it has become a bit more difficult to spot the websites in this scam network.
The full list is given below, as well as on my Facebook page. You can run a search before purchasing to see if the website is part of a Scam Network. It would also be wise to check websites like Scamadviser and TrustPilot. Spending a few minutes verifying the website can save you a lot of time, money and energy.

How to Get Your Money Back from a Scam
Remember: If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.
If you have been the victim of an ecommerce scam, you can take the following steps:
- Lodge a complaint at the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal
- File a complaint with the payment portal and ask whether the payment can be reversed.
- File a complaint with the Consumer Complaints Forum
- Leave a negative review on review portals such as Scamadviser, TrustPilot, OnlineThreatAlerts and SiteJabber
- Report the website to Google using the Suspicious Site Reporter extension for Chrome
- Give a low rating to the website on Web of Trust. You can also install their extension for the same.
