Why is Metatradefx Fake?

YouTube video

Metatradefx is an online trading platform where investors can supposedly generate enormous profits. The website claims that you can ‘trade Cryptocurrencies, Stock Indices, Commodities and Forex from a single account’. The website’s name deliberately seems to be similar to a forex trading platform called ‘MetaTrader’ which ‘Metatradefx’ has absolutely no relation to.

A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 16th March 2021. The registrant’s details such as name, location and contact details have been hidden using a paid service. Therefore, it is a relatively new website that is being operated anonymously.

whois

Even though it is clear that Metatradefx did not exist before March 2021, the website makes the absurd claim that the company is operating since 1986. The Terms & Conditions document also carries a false date of 2020. Additionally, there are fake mentions of Metatradefx winning awards. These are indications that Metatradefx is not a genuine company run by professionals.

  • metatradefx scam fake awards
  • metatradefx scam fake awards 2
  • metatradefx scam fake terms date

The information about the company’s management is completely fake too as none of the people actually exist. There are no Linkedin profiles of any of the team members and the images used are stock pictures lifted from various sources.

The website’s overall quality is quite poor as it is rife with misspellings and bad grammar. I even found dummy text on the website even though it has been active for nearly 10 months at the time of writing this article.

Upon analyzing the text on Metatradefx’s website, I found that there are at least 25 other websites that contain identical content, all of which may be scams. The full list of sites is given at the end of the article.

Metatradefx even claims to have its own app, but the links simply lead to the legitimate Meta Trader 4 Forex Trading App that has absolutely no relation to Metatradefx. Therefore, it seems to be a deliberate attempt to confuse people.

Metatradefx does not seem to have a social media presence. There are no social media pages listed on the website and I could not find any independently either.

The contact details given on the website are highly dubious. The address seems to be completely fake as no such location exists. The phone number is actually a WhatsApp number and the account is being operated anonymously. The name used on WhatsApp is ‘Certified Forex And Cryptocurrency Stock Trader’ even though there is no proof of any certification.

I could not find any genuine reviews for Metatradefx online. There was only one review on ScamAdviser (now removed) which was clearly a fake review promoting a Recovery Scam. It is common for investment scammers to target their victims again by pretending to be fund recovery agents.

Conclusion

It is quite evident that Metatradefx and the 25 similar websites have a tremendously high probability of being scams. There are several signs suggesting that Metatradefx is run by scammers and not genuine traders. There is no evidence of it being a legitimate organization. On the other hand, there are several lies on the website regarding the company’s age and team members. The website quality is also extremely poor, hinting at the likelihood that it has been cheaply made by scammers.

Metatradefx is a relatively new website created in March 2021 that is being operated anonymously. However, the website has blatantly false information such as fake awards and the ridiculous claim that it is operating since 1986. All of the information on the website is copied as the same content can be found on at least 25 other websites, all of which may be scams.

There is absolutely no information about the company’s registration and licenses. The company address provided is completely fake and a UK phone number is being used to operate WhatsApp anonymously.

Metatradefx does not have any social media presence and no reviews could be found for it either. The only review available was promoting a fake money recovery service and was probably written by the scammers behind Metatradefx themselves to ‘double dip’ on their victims.

It is advisable to avoid investing with Metatradefx and the 25 similar sites as there are no good reasons to believe that they are legitimate organizations. As a general rule, never send crypto to strangers as it cannot be recovered.
