Why is Growandgrabinnovation (G&G Innovation) Fake?
G&G Innovation (growandgrabinnovation.com) is a website that claims to help workers earn a ‘passive income’ through data entry work such as captcha and form filling. How these low-paying tasks can provide a passive income is not mentioned anywhere on the website. This is the first sign that Growandgrabinnovation is not a professional operation.
A huge red flag of Growandgrabinnovation being a scam is that they require a fee to be paid before users can start working on the platform. No genuine company asks workers to pay before they can earn as fees are deducted from the payment itself. This signals that Growandgrabinnovation is most probably an Advance Fee Scam.
A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 30th April 2021. The registrant’s name and contact details have not been provided. The location is mentioned as ‘Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India’ but this is likely to be a lie and I will explain the reasons behind this later in the article. Therefore, Growandgrabinnovation is a relatively new website being operated anonymously.
The overall quality of the website is quite poor and does not give the impression that it is operated by a legitimate and professional organization. Growandgrabinnovation repeatedly mentions that it is a 6-year-old company, however, there is no proof that this ‘company’ existed before April 2021. Therefore, it appears that G&G Innovation is lying about the age of the company.
I found another huge indication of Growandgrabinnovation being a scam on the website’s About Us page. Apart from repeating the lie about being a 6-year-old company, the page also mistakenly mentions the name of a different website called ‘Free2Lance’. It was revealed to me through my research that Free2Lance was a website registered 10 months ago that has already shut down and has complaints of fraud against it.
I also found another website called India Job Opportunities (indiajobopportunities.com) which is an exact clone of Growandgrabinnovation. It is possible that both the sites are operated by the same or related scammers.
It seems that Growandgrabinnovation does not have a social media presence as there are no social media pages and I could not find any pages on my own either. The contact details provided on the website are an email ID, a Kerala location address and a phone number.
The Kerala address does not seem to actually exist. The WhatsApp number is operated anonymously from Karnataka and not Kerala. Therefore, the information suggests that G&G Innovation is an employment scam being run from Karnataka.
There are quite a few reviews for Growandgrabinnovation on Google and ScamAdviser which clearly show that it is a scam. Workers have stated that they were asked to pay a ‘security deposit’ before starting work. After they made the payment, G&G Innovation stopped replying to them and ran away with the money.
Conclusion
It is plainly evident that Growandgrabinnovation aka G&G Innovation is a data entry job scam. The website has been created recently in April 2021 and fake information has been provided for domain registration. The site is run anonymously as it does not contain any information about the company management.
The About Us page of the website falsely mentions that the company has been active for more than 6 years. There is no evidence that Growandgrabinnovation existed before April 2021. The website also mistakenly includes the name of a website called ‘Free2Lance’ that was reported as a scam and is currently inactive. Therefore, it is likely that Free2Lance was the previous scam run by the same fraudsters behind Growandgrabinnovation.
The site’s domain registration shows the company location as Andaman & Nicobar Islands the website states that Growandgrabinnovation is based in Kochi, Kerala. However, both of these appear to be lies as Growandgrabinnovation seems to be actually operated from Karnataka, as that is where the WhatsApp number is active.
Reviews mention that Growandgrabinnovation is an Advance Fee Scam that asks workers for a ‘security deposit’ before they can start working and earning on the platform. Once the fee has been paid, G&G Innovation stops responding to the worker or refuses payment after work has been done.
It is advisable to avoid signing up with Growandgrabinnovation aka G&G Innovation as there are no reasons to believe that it is a genuine data entry job provider. Genuine companies will never ask you to pay them for any reason.
