Fake

Why is Expertassetrecovery Fake?

YouTube video

Expertassetrecovery.org claims to help victims of online investment scams recover their lost funds, including cryptocurrency. As I have explained previously, cryptocurrency is nearly impossible to recover, which makes promises by new and unknown companies highly suspect.

A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 12th February 2023. The registrant’s details such as name, location and contact information have been hidden using a privacy guard. Therefore, it is a new website that is being operated anonymously from an unknown country.

whois

According to ScamAdviser, the domain recoving.org automatically redirects users to expertassetrecovery.org, indicating that the scammers who operate this website also run other recovery scam websites. I found that tradereport.org is likely to be a related scam as it contains the same content as expertassetrecovery.org.

Even though Expertassetrecovery clearly did not exist before 2023, it is falsely mentioned on the website that they are operating since 10 years. There is no evidence of this being true and seems like a blatant lie to appear credible.

The footer of the website also falsely implies that the site was created in 2022.

The overall quality of the website is extremely poor and it is obvious that the site was not created by professionals. For example, important documentation such as the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy are missing.

Expertassetrecovery does not have a social media presence. There are social media icons given on the website but they are fake as they lead nowhere. The following contact details are provided:

111 W 57th St, New York, NY 10019, USA
info@expertassetrecovery.org
+1 (510) 298-0704

Firstly, the address is fake as it is the location of a random building in New York. Additionally, the phone number is a virtual line registered in California, which means that it can be operated from anywhere in the world. This suggests a high likelihood that Expertassetrecovery may be a scam site run internationally by fraudsters from Africa.

Expertassetrecovery has a high rating of 4.5/5 on Trustpilot, but the reviews have been found to be fake and many have been removed. Therefore, it is clear that the scammers behind Expertassetrecovery are spamming fake positive reviews on Trustpilot to deceive victims of investment scams into losing more money.

Conclusion

It seems quite obvious that Expertassetrecovery and the related websites recoving.com and tradereport.org are likely to be fake money recovery agencies trying to scam people who have already been scammed. The site is being operated anonymously since February 2023 and there is no evidence that it is a real company.

Even though the website was created only in 2023, they falsely claim that the company is active since 10 years. Further, the details of the company’s team are completely fake as the people don’t exist in real life. The website is of low quality as it contains poorly written content and important documentation such as the Privacy Policy and ToS are not present.

Expertassetrecovery does not have a social media presence and the positive Trustpilot reviews for it are fake. The address provided is of a random building in New York and the phone number is a virtual line registered in California that can be operated from anywhere in the world.

It is advisable to avoid hiring the services of Expertassetrecovery, Recoving or TradeReport as there are no reasons to believe that they are legitimate crypto recovery agencies.

How to Get Your Money Back from a Scam

Remember: If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.

If you have been a victim of a money recovery scam, you can take the following steps:

  1. File a formal police complaint with the Cybercrime department.
  2. File a complaint with the payment portal. However, recovery scammers mostly use cryptocurrency which makes getting a refund impossible.
  3. Leave a negative review on review portals such as ScamAdviser and TrustPilot
  4. Report the website to Google using the Suspicious Site Reporter extension for Chrome
  5. Give a low rating to the website on Web of Trust. You can also install their extension for the same.
  6. If the company has a listing on Google My Business or Google Maps, file a complaint using the Business Redressal Complaint Form. Also, leave a negative review explaining what kind of experience you had.
