Online Electronics Store
Is Deoneshop Fake or Real?
Why is Deoneshop Fake?
Deoneshop is a website that claims to be selling electronics such as smartphones, laptops, printers, gaming consoles and more at unbelievably low prices. One look at the prices makes it clear that Deoneshop is a scam as they are simply too good to be true. This is pretty much confirmed when you notice that the cart total is always reduced to $95-$99 no matter how many items you add to it.
A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 24th February 2022. The registrant’s details such as name, location and contact information have been hidden using a paid service. Therefore, it is a new website being operated anonymously.
The About us page of the website contains the following text:
THE STORY SO FAR
Inspired by a shared love of men’s fashion brands, we founded this website. back in 2005. We opened our first store down an old cobbled street in Los Angeles.
Since then, we has evolved into a technology led retailer that provides premium menswear, luxury designers and exclusive sneaker drops to a global audience.
Our customers are at the heart of everything we do and every decision we make. We recognize that it’s our people that make the difference to our customers. With over 600 employees and our strong levels of growth, this continues to be a key focus for everyone.
As we continue to grow, we want to make sure our people have a great experience at work and continue to be part of the success story of us.
Welcome to our website, a global menswear retailer known for its expertly curated edit of luxury fashion, emerging designers and exclusive sport & streetwear.
We has strong and valued relations with over 400 brands and designers; targeting the new wave of fashion-conscious consumers who mix innovative and directional menswear.
The content makes no sense as it states that Deoneshop is a fashion brand even though the website only lists electronics. Further, it says that the brand was launched in 2005 even though Deoneshop’s website was only created in February 2022.
Upon further research, I found that this content has been copied from the website of End Clothing and there are at least 15 other websites using the same text, all of which may be scams. The list of sites is given at the end of the article.
There is no company information mentioned anywhere on the website. My hunch is that Deoneshop may be operated from China or neighbouring countries as such kinds of scam sites commonly originate from southeast Asia. This belief is likely to be right as Deoneshop contradicts itself. The website header says ‘US Online Store Site’ while the Terms of Service page says that the site is operated as per UK laws. Therefore, both these claims are probably lies.
Deoneshop does not seem to have any social media presence. I found a Facebook page with the same name but it seems to be an old page created in 2018, much before the current website existed.
The only contact information provided is email@example.com. Therefore, Deoneshop can only be contacted by email and there is a fair chance that they will never reply. This means that Deoneshop has no real customer support.
No reviews for Deoneshop could be found online. If you want to share your review of this website, you can do so in the comments below or on my social media pages.
It is glaringly obvious likely that Deoneshop and the 15 similar sites may be scams operated from China.
Deoneshop is a new website created anonymously in February 2022. The prices are too good to be true and the cart total is always below $100 no matter how many items you add. This clearly indicates that Deoneshop is a fake online store created exclusively to scam online shoppers.
The entire website content is copied and the same text can be found on at least 15 other websites, all of which may be scams. The website contains no company information and only an email ID has been provided for support. There are no reviews available for it either.
It is advisable to avoid shopping on Deoneshop or any of the 15 related websites as there are high chances of having an unpleasant shopping experience.
If you think that you have been scammed by any of these sites, you can contact PayPal or your bank for a full refund. Don’t accept a partial refund citing that the product is not what you ordered and refuse to ship the items back to China as the merchant claims to be located in the USA.
Remember, if it’s too good to be true, it probably is.
