Why is Austin Sphere Limited a Borderline Scam?

Back in 2022, I delved into a website named Expense Friend and a number of websites and companies related to it. The site were found to be operated by two companies: Austin Sphere Limited registered in Cyprus and Clubhouse Solution Kft. registered in Hungary. A list of sites operated by these companies in given at the end of the article.

Even though Austin Sphere Limited registered and Clubhouse Solution Kft. did not appear to be outright scams, they seemed to be using dubious marketing practices and luring people into unwanted subscriptions by offering free gifts like iPads which are never delivered.

These companies operated several different near-identical websites and were found to be charging unsuspecting users a monthly fee of €48.75. Users who provided their card details thinking that were receiving free gifts were charged subscription fees for months before realizing that they are paying for a service they never use.

There are several negative reviews posted online from users who were confused and angry about charges appearing under the name Austin Sphere Limited. Users complaining that they were unaware about agreeing to pay a recurring fee by sharing card details is a common theme in reviews. Most of the reviews are in European languages.

The information seems to be legitimate and as per the company registration details, Austin Sphere Limited was registered on 20 September 2019 and ΝΑΤΑΛΙΑ ΑΝΤΩΝΙΟΥ (NATALIA ANTONIOU) is listed as the Director. However, no further information is available about the company or its Director.

I came upon austinsphereltd.com which seems to be company website, but it has no information about the company. The website speaks vaguely about web design and there are no contact details provided. The only way to reach them is through a contact form.
