Why is Aroncoinverse Fake?

A supporter of Fake Website Buster sent me a request to review Aroncoinverse with the following message:

Hi James,I want you to check out the following website,Aroncoinverse, ceo Angelia Marie Brown,”she” is the one comunicate with me.

I invested 100usd with her,it growed to 10 000usd,I had to pay 300usd “tax” money for withdrawal, now it take 2 weeks to finalize this withdrawal, so I just want to know is this a scam or not.

A few danger signs were already apparent from the above message:

• The CEO of a company will never directly correspond with individual clients
• $100 turning into $10,000 means the return on investment is 9,900% which is simply too good to be true.
• $300 hidden charges were paid as ‘tax’ to enable withdrawal, which is a common move by investment scammers to extract more money from victims.

When I looked at the website itself, I found several signs that Aroncoinverse is a scam. Aroncoinverse claims to be an investment platform that generate profits through crypto trading. They promise returns of 12% per day which makes it obvious that the site is a scam as such returns are not realistic or sustainable.

A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 5th August 2022. The registrant’s details such as name and contact details have not been provided. The domain registrar is Whogohost Limited based in Lagos, Nigeria, implying that Aroncoinverse was created from Nigeria. Therefore, aroncoinverse.com is a new website that is being operated anonymously from a high-risk country.

The website is poorly made and appears to be created using a cheap HYIP template, as with most fake investment platforms. In fact, I found the exact template – named ‘GLaxu HYIP’ – and discovered hundreds of websites identical to Aroncoinverse.

The sites contains fake team member details and testimonials to create an illusion of credibility. Upon analyzing the website’s content, I found that all the text has been copied and is used on at least 348 other websites, all of which are likely to be scams. The list of sites is given at the end of the article.

Aroncoinverse does not even have a real Terms of Service document, as the ‘Terms & Condition’ page contains only dummy text. The website is still incomplete despite being active for 8 months and there is dummy text on other pages too. This is a clear indication that Aroncoinverse is not a genuine organization.

The ‘Legal’ page of the website contains the following statement:

Website operated by Options Trading LLC c/o Suite 305, Griffith Corporate Centre, Beachmont, Box 1510, Kingstown, St Vincent and the Grenadines. Company Registration: 1192LLC2021. All brokerage activity on this website provided by Options Trading LLC. Options Trading LLC is regulated by IFMRRC, certificate number: RU0395AAV0179. Options Trading LLC or its agents or partners are not registered and do not provide any services on the USA territory.

However, I found that no such company exists when I checked the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines companies register.

The information is clearly fake as the address is incomplete, the email ID is a free Gmail ID and the phone number is a virtual line registered in the USA that can be operated from anywhere in the world.

Conclusion

It seems evident that Aroncoinverse and the 348 similar websites are likely to be scams. There are several signs suggesting it is not a genuine investment platform. The website is new and is being operated anonymously from Nigeria, and the returns being promised are too good to be true.

Unknown owners are running the site since August 2022 and there is nothing to suggest that it is a legitimate business. The entire website content is fake – including team member details and testimonials – as it is based on a ready-made scam website template. The website is not even complete as there is dummy text on multiple pages, including the Terms & Conditions page. I discovered 348 other websites similar to Aroncoinverse and all seem to be scams.

The website claims that Aroncoinverse is operated by Options Trading LLC registered in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. However, I found that no such company exists. Aroncoinverse has no social media presence and the address provided is fake. The phone number is a virtual line registered in the USA which is being used for anonymous WhatsApp messages.

It is advisable to avoid investing with Aroncoinverse or the 348 similar sites as there are no reasons to believe that they are genuine investment platforms. As a general rule, never send crypto to strangers as it cannot be recovered.

1. File a complaint with the payment portal. However, investment scammers mostly use methods such as Bitcoin, Western Union, MoneyGram and other untraceable methods which make refunds impossible.
2. File a formal police complaint with the Cybercrime department.
3. Leave a negative review on review portals such as ScamAdviser and TrustPilot.
4. Report the website to Google using the Suspicious Site Reporter extension for Chrome
5. Give a low rating to the website on Web of Trust. You can also install their extension for the same.
6. If the company has a listing on Google My Business or Google Maps, file a complaint using the Business Redressal Complaint Form. Also, leave a negative review explaining what kind of experience you had.
7. Report the scam site to web filtering companies.
