Why is Trackitback Fake?

YouTube video

Trackitback.org is a website that claims to provide ‘guidance and referral services to clients who have lost funds in a variety of scams’. They are supposedly capable of getting back stolen cryptocurrency from investment scammers. As I have explained previously, cryptocurrency is nearly impossible to recover, which makes promises by new and unknown companies highly suspect.

A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 24th October 2022. The registrant’s details such as name, location and contact information have been hidden using a privacy guard. Therefore, it is a new website that is being operated anonymously from an unknown country.

whois

The overall quality of the website is extremely poor and it is apparent that the site was not created by professionals. Important documentation such as the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are missing. I found that all the content on the website is copied and the same text is used on at least 15 other websites, all of which are likely to be scams. The list of sites is given at the end of the article.

Even the client testimonials given on the website are fake as they have clearly been written by the scammers themselves. The photos are not of real clients and have randomly been lifted from other sites.

The website is run completely anonymously as not even the name of a single team member is mentioned anywhere. Trackitback does not have a social media presence. The following contact details are provided:

Patricia C. Amedee 4401 Waldeck New Street Grapevine
info@trackitback.org
+1 (706) 350 5497

Firstly, the address is not complete as it does not mention the state or country. It is actually a dummy address that is used in website templates and can therefore be found on numerous other incomplete or amateurish websites. This is an obvious indication that Trackitback is lying about being a legitimate company.

The phone number is a VoIP line that can be operated from anywhere in the world. The number shows up as ‘Forex Quora’ on Truecaller which hints that Trackitback is run by forex investment scammers. The WhatsApp account linked to this number is anonymous and the name is set to ‘Richmond’. This name does not appear anywhere on the website.

I could not find any real client reviews for Trackitback. If you want to share your review of this website, you can do so in the comments below or on my social media pages.

Conclusion

It seems quite obvious that Trackitback and the 15 similar sites are likely to be fake money recovery agencies trying to scam people who have already been scammed. The site is being operated anonymously since October 2022 and there is no proof that it is a real company.

The website is of poor quality and contains copied content. The same content can be found on at least 15 other websites, all of which are likely to be scams. Important documentation such as the Privacy Policy and ToS are missing, making it obvious that Trackitback is not a professional operation. The client testimonials on the website have been written by the scammers themselves.

Trackitback does not have a social media presence and the contact details provided show that it is likely to be a scam operation run by international scammers. The address provided is fake and the WhatsApp phone number is a virtual line that can be operated from any country. No real reviews could be found.

It is advisable to avoid hiring the services of Trackitback or any of the 15 similar websites as there is no reason to believe that they are legitimate crypto recovery agencies.

If you have been a victim of a money recovery scam, you can take the following steps:

  1. File a complaint with the payment portal. However, recovery scammers mostly use cryptocurrency which makes getting a refund impossible.
  2. File a formal police complaint with the Cybercrime department.
  3. Leave a negative review on review portals such as ScamAdviser and TrustPilot
  4. Report the website to Google using the Suspicious Site Reporter extension for Chrome
  5. Give a low rating to the website on Web of Trust. You can also install their extension for the same.
  6. If the company has a listing on Google My Business or Google Maps, file a complaint using the Business Redressal Complaint Form. Also, leave a negative review explaining what kind of experience you had.
