Why Is RoopStore Fake?
RoopStore is a website that claims to be selling electronics at deep discounts. They are advertising heavily through Google Ads and their ads give the impression that they are selling original Apple AirPods at an unbelievable price of ₹2,699.
Their ads even display the Apple logo, however, the image of the product shown is suspicious as the actual AirPods case does not have the logo. The original price of AirPods shown in the ad is also wrong, as the product actually retails for ₹18,900. Therefore, RoopStore is apparently giving a discount of more than 85%.
A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 13th August 2020 in Delhi, India. The organization name is given as VINAAZ BUSINESS GROUPS, but no address or contact details have been provided. I could not find anything about this company on Google either.
The website does not look professional as it contains several errors in the text. The text on the About Us page is being used by three other websites and talks about digital marketing services.
The website footer mentions that the website has been active since 2019. This is clearly a lie as the domain name was only registered in August 2020.
The actual product page for the AirPods also does not mention that the product being sold may be counterfeit. They are using Apple’s brand name, which makes it seem as though they are selling the original product.
RoopStore does not have a social media presence. The only way to contact the company is by email, as no phone number or address has been provided.
The only review I could find for RoopStore is a complaint on ConsumerComplaintsCourt stating that the product that was delivered is a fake version of Apple AirPods. This clearly shows that RoopStore is misleading users into believing that they are selling genuine Apple products.
It seems quite obvious that RoopStore is a scam. They are using Apple’s brand name and images of original AirPods to deceive users. The website is of low-quality and contains copied text that is being used by three other online stores. The website has been registered in August 2020 by a company called Vinaaz Business Groups in Delhi, India. However, the website footer claims that the website is running since 2019, which is clearly a lie.
The company’s details are not given anywhere on the website. The only contact method provided is email and there is no phone number or address given. RoopStore does not have any social media pages and the only review available is a complaint that the customer received counterfeit AirPods.
It is advisable to avoid shopping from RoopStore, as they seem to be selling fake products that are advertised as original.
