Is Lilicloth Fake or Real?

Likely Fake

Why Is Lilicloth Likely Fake?

Lilicloth is a website that claims to be selling clothing such as t-shirts, tops, bottoms, shoes and more. The products on the website are not original and can be found on websites such as Amazon and Aliexpress, as well as several Chinese websites โ€“ many of which have been found to be scams.

A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 2nd September 2019. The registrantโ€™s information such as name, location and contact details have been hidden using a privacy guard.

Apart from the images, other content on the website has been copied too. The text used on the About Us page is being used by at least 9 other websites. Lilicloth seems to be much like the low-quality Chinese operations that have been covered extensively on this blog previously. The full list is given at the end of the article.

Lilicloth does not mention any social media pages on the website. However, I found that there are three Facebook pages being operated by Lilicloth. The page information shows that the pages are being run from Macau, confirming that Lilicloth is a Chinese ecommerce store.

There is no phone number or physical address for Lilicloth given on the website. The only way to contact them is via email.

Lilicloth is positively reviewed on sites like Sitejabber and TrustPilot. However, I found the reviews to be suspicious and very likely to be fake. The positive reviews are being written by new accounts with no profile pictures and are quite generic. There is no specific information given about the products that were purchased.

Filtering just the negative reviews, I found that the complaints against Lilicloth are typical ones seen with many Chinese online stores. Customers have complained about false advertising, long shipping times, poor customer service and refusal to give refunds. There is also a review on Scamadviser that states the same issues. The same trend can be seen on Liliclothโ€™s Better Business Bureau page.

There is a decent likelihood that Lilicloth is a scam. The images and content used on the website are not original. The images can be found on other platforms such as Amazon, Aliexpress and Pinterest, while the same content is being used by at least 9 online stores.

Lilicloth does not provide any phone number or address and the only way to contact them is via email. While the website does not mention any social media profiles, it is quite fishy that the company is actually operating three different Facebook pages for the same website.

There is a moderate possibility that the TrustPilot reviews are fake as they are generic and written by new accounts. The negative reviews state that the products were falsely advertised using misleading images, shipping times were longer than expected and customer service was either non-responsive or refused to give refunds for low-quality products. It is advisable to be cautious while shopping on Lilicloth, as there is a fair chance that you may have a bad experience.
