Why is Global Fraud Fighters Fake?

Global Fraud Fighters (globalfraudfighter.org) claims to be a ‘recovery agency’ capable of getting back funds from investment scammers, including cryptocurrency. As I have written previously, cryptocurrency is nearly impossible to recover, which makes promises by new and unknown companies highly dubious.

A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 16th November 2021. The registrant’s details such as name, location and contact information have been hidden using a paid service. Therefore, it is a new website that is being operated anonymously.

whois

Even though it is clear that Global Fraud Fighters did not exist before November 2021, the footer of the website falsely mentions that it is active since 2020. This is a blatant lie.

The About Us page of Global Fraud Fighters contains the following text:

Global Fraud Fighters is a consulting firm committed to serving aggrieved clients in investment fraud/scams and consumer class action cases such as Binary Options, Forex, Cryptos, ICO’s, etc. Through vigorous investigation strategies, critical analyses of the facts and law applicable to each case, and exemplary legal writing, we represent our clients’ interests as if they were our own. Anything less is not acceptable to us, nor should it be acceptable to our clients.

Global Fraud Fighters proudly states that our lawyers in the network have had many tremendous successes assisting clients to recover funds and assets wrongfully taken from them, including judgments and recoveries valued in millions in the past few years only. Every case is different, and those results do not necessarily foreshadow what we might obtain for you in your case.

I found that this same content has been used on at least 3 other websites, all of which may be scams. The list of sites is given at the end of the article. One of these sites – reclawsint.com – is almost identical to the website of Global Fraud Fighters. Therefore, it is possible that both these sites could be operated by the same set of scammers.

The testimonials on the website make it even more obvious that Global Fraud Fighters is a scam as they are quite clearly fake. The same testimonials can be found on the other sites too.

global fraud fighters globalfraudfighter scam fake reviews

The website is run completely anonymously as there is not the name of a single team member mentioned anywhere. There is no company information either, probably because no such company actually exists. The website claims that the company is registered under the name ‘Global Fraud Fighters’ but there is no evidence of this.

There is also a mention of Reclaw International (reclawsint.com) in this section which means that the sites may indeed be related.

Global Fraud Fighters does not have a social media presence. Even though there are social media links present on the website, they are fake as they lead nowhere. I could not find any pages independently. The blog section of the website is also clearly fake, insinuating that the site is not run by genuine professionals.

The contact information given on the website includes an address, email ID and two phone numbers. I found that the address provided is likely to be fake as it is the location of a random building. The phone number could not be verified and may be a virtual line owned by overseas scammers.

I could only find two reviews of the company online, both of which are negative and paint Globalfraudfighter.org in a suspicious light.

Conclusion

It seems quite evident that Global Fraud Fighters is likely to be a fake crypto recovery agency trying to scam people who have already been scammed. The site is being operated anonymously since November 2021 and has apparent relations to 3 other crypto recovery websites, all of which are likely to be scams.

The website is of poor quality and contains plagiarized content. The footer of the website falsely mentions that the site is active since 2020. Important documentation such as the ToS is missing.

Even the client testimonials are fake as the same can be found on other sites. Global Fraud Fighters does not have a social media presence and the contact details provided are likely to be fake too. The UK address provided is of a random office building.

It is advisable to avoid hiring the services of Global Fraud Fighters or the 3 similar websites including Reclaws International, as there is a high likelihood that they may be scams.

If you have been a victim of an investment scam, you can take the following steps:

  1. File a complaint with the payment portal. However, investment scammers mostly use methods such as Bitcoin, Western Union, MoneyGram and other untraceable methods which make refunds impossible.
  2. File a formal police complaint with the Cybercrime department.
  3. Leave a negative review on review portals such as Scamadviser and TrustPilot
  4. Report the website to Google using the Suspicious Site Reporter extension for Chrome
  5. Give a low rating to the website on Web of Trust. You can also install their extension for the same.
  6. If the company has a listing on Google My Business or Google Maps, file a complaint using the Business Redressal Complaint Form. Also, leave a negative review explaining what kind of experience you had.
