Is Floralmoda Fake or Real?
Fake
Why Is Floralmoda Fake?
Floramoda is a website that claims to be selling women’s shoes as well as clothing items like tops, bottoms and more. The products on the website appear to be mass-produced Chinese goods as they are being sold exclusively through weirdly named low-quality sites.
A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 26th August 2020 in Zhejiang, China. The company name is given as ‘Shaoxing Guiyi Dianzishangwu Youxian gongsi’ but I couldn’t verify whether this is a real company. Therefore, it is a relatively new website being operated with virtual anonymity from a high-risk country.
It is not only the images on the website that are unoriginal. The text on the website is copied too. The About Us page of the website contains the following text:

The same text can be found on at least 58 other websites, all of which may be scams. The list of sites is given at the end of the article.
Further, these websites appear to be related to Floralmoda as they are all Shopify stores and 55 of them have shared IP addresses. In fact, Floralmoda itself shares the same IP addresses as 19 other websites, suggesting that they may all be operated by the same owner.
While testing the checkout process, I found that the PayPal account associated with the website is named ‘Zjzm co ltd.’.
Not only is that suspicious because the company name is not mentioned anywhere on the website, but this account has also been associated with other sites that have been reported as scams. This is another strong hint that Floralmoda could indeed be operated by a Chinese scam network.
Even though no social media profiles are mentioned on the website, I found that Floralmoda has five different Facebook pages, all of which have been used for advertising on Facebook and Instagram at some point.
The page information of these pages shows that apart from China and Taiwan, they are operated from locations such as the USA, Brazil and Indonesia.
This is apparently a deliberate attempt to deceive users as it is quite clear from the domain registration information that the site is operated from China.
The website itself contains absolutely no mention of China anywhere. There is also no information about the company such as the name, address and contact details.
The contact details provided on the website are an email ID and an address of a location in New Hampshire, USA. Looking up this location shows that it is a random building with no evidence of Floralmoda’s store or office being located there. Therefore, it is very likely to be fake.
Therefore, the only way to contact Floralmoda is by email.
There are a number of customer reviews available on Floralmoda’s Facebook pages and they are exclusively negative. Unsurprisingly, the reviews confirm that the packages arrive from China.
The complaints are the usual ones involving Chinese bait-and-switch scams, such as false advertising, inferior products, wrong sizes, non-delivery, delayed delivery, terrible customer service and refusal to provide a full refund unless the customer bears the cost of shipping the item back to China.
Conclusion
It is quite clear that Floralmoda and the 58 related sites may all be part of a Chinese scam network running a bait-and-switch scam.
The website is relatively new as it was created in August 2020. The domain name information shows that it was registered in China. However, there is no mention of this on the website itself. In fact, a random New Hampshire address is provided which can be construed as intentional deception.
The items being sold on the website are also available on several other weirdly named Chinese online stores. The content on the website is not original either, as at least 58 other websites contain the same text.
These websites also have shared IP addresses, with Floramoda too having the same IP address as 19 other websites. This reveals a strong possibility that all of them may be operated by the same owner.
The PayPal account associated with the site is named ‘Zjzm co ltd.’ and this company is not mentioned anywhere on the site. The account also has links to other websites that have been reported as scams.
The website does not mention any social media pages. However, Floralmoda is operating 5 Facebook pages and all of them have been used to run ads at some point. No legitimate brand operates in such a manner.
The page location information also seems to be deliberately misleading, as many different locations such as USA, Brazil and Indonesia are shown. However, all the pages also include China or Taiwan as one of the locations, indicating that the website is indeed Chinese.
Many unhappy customers have written reviews on the Facebook pages. In fact, the reviews are all negative. Complaints include false advertising, low-quality products, wrong sizes, no delivery, late delivery, poor customer service and refusal to provide full refunds unless the package is shipped back to China at the customer’s own expense.
It is advisable to avoid shopping on Floralmoda or any of the 58 related websites, as there is a high likelihood of being bait-and-switched.
If you have fallen for such a scam, you can contact PayPal for a full refund. Refuse to ship the items back by telling PayPal that the item is not what you ordered and that it was never disclosed as being shipped from China.
