Why is Eltra Exchanger Fake?

Eltra Exchanger claims to be a website for converting bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies into regular money. It supposedly supports various cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ether, Dash, Dogecoin and more for converting into money and receiving the payout via PayPal and other methods.

A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 31st December 2017 and the website has been active since early 2018. No information is available about the registrant as the details have been blocked for privacy.

There are some contact details mentioned on the website which suggest that the company is located in Scotland. The actual location was untraceable on google, which could mean that itโ€™s a fake address. There are social media links provided but they donโ€™t redirect to any company profiles.

There is a section on the home page called Latest Exchanges which purportedly shows the recent transactions. Under the list of exchanges is a line saying โ€˜ย Exchanged less than a minute ago !โ€™. However, it seems to be a static list to give the illusion of legitimacy. At this time of writing this article, the list has been unchanged for more than 12 hours.

The home page mentions that Eltra Exchanger has a five-star rating on TrustPilot. This is clearly not true as the actual rating on TrustPilot is 2.8. The pattern of reviews is also extremely suspicious as there is an equal split between the five-star and one-star reviews. This signals an attempt at manipulating the rating through fake positive reviews.

The review pages for Extra Exchanger are a mess as there seem to be a number of fake reviews โ€“ both positive and negative. After sorting through the reviews available on sites like TrustPilot and Scamadviser to identify genuine ones, it seems that Eltra Exchanger is involved in fraudulent activities.

3 / 9

From the information available, it has to be concluded that EltraExchanger is a scam. There is no information provided on who is managing the business. There are obvious lies on the website such as the fake TrustPilot rating and list of recent exchanges. The reviews also strongly indicate that it is not a trustworthy website. It is advisable to not send any money or cryptocurrencies to Eltra Exchanger.
