Why Is Dzires Saree Fake?
Dzires Saree is an online store that claims be to selling silk sarees at low prices. The website looks unappealing as it is using basic Shopify template. The main banner shows a woman in a dress instead of a saree, which gives the impression that it is not run by professionals.
A domain name lookup of the website shows that it was registered on 2nd November 2020. The registrant’s details such as name, location and contact details have been hidden for privacy.
The images of sarees being used on Dzires Saree seem to have been copied from websites such as Amazon, SnapDeal and Peachmode. The prices on Dzires Saree are much lower compared to other websites. Huge price difference often signal a scam.
There is almost no information about the company on Dzires Saree’s website. The Terms & Conditions page mentions the company name as ‘Women’s Sarees Online – Low Price Offer’, which is obviously not a real company name.
The contact details given on the website are an address, phone number and email ID. The email is a free Gmail ID and not an official one. The phone number is marked as a scam in TrueCaller.
When I searched the address in Google, the results showed complaints against another website called Saree Dzire (sareedzire.com) which was using the same address.
The website of Saree Dzire is no longer active. However, I was able to obtain a snapshot of the website using the Wayback Machine. The snapshot shows that Saree Dzire was selling exactly the same sarees as Dzires Saree and also used the same phone number.
Saree Dzire also has 36 complaints against it on ConsumerComplaints. Customers have complained that they never received their orders even though the payment was made in advance.
There are no reviews available for Dzires Saree, but the website seems to be made by the same scammers as Saree Dzire. No social media pages could be found either.
It is quite obvious that Dzires Saree is a scam. The images have been copied from various websites such as Peachmode but the sarees are being offered at too-good-to-be-true prices. There is no company information given and the contact details seem to be fake. The email is a free Gmail ID, the phone number is marked as a scam in TrueCaller and the address was being used by a scam website called Saree Dzire. Customers of Saree Dzire have complained that their money was deducted but the orders were never delivered.
It looks like the same scammers behind Saree Dzire have set up Dzire Sarees to continue their scam. Wayback Machine snapshots show that the two websites are identical and provide the same contact details. It is advisable to avoid shopping on Dzires Saree as it is not a genuine store.
How to Get Your Money Back from a Scam
Remember: If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.

- File a complaint with the payment portal and ask whether the payment can be reversed.
- File a complaint with the Consumer Complaints Forum

- Report the website to Google using the Suspicious Site Reporter extension for Chrome
- Give a low rating to the website on Web of Trust. You can also install their extension for the same.
