Why Are Aalux & Luxv Fake?
Aalux & Luxv aka Luxury V Store are two identical sites selling luxury handbags and footwear by brands like Louis Vuitton, Dior, Chanel and more.
Judging by the prices and pictires, the products are quite clearly counterfeits even though this is not mentioned anywhere on the site.
Even though Aalux has the โ.ruโ domain extension of Russia, both the sites are quite clearly Chinese. Domain name lookups of the site reveal Luxv was registered in February 2019 while Aalux was registered in November 2020.
The registrantโs details for Aalux have not been provided. Luxvโs registrant is named โ้็ๅโ which translates to โChen Yushuangโ and is therefore not a company name.
The email ID is given as nnstorex@gmail.com and I found from Scamadviserโs Analyzer that at least two other websites (luxurystores.cn and luxurystorex.cn โ now inactive) were registered using the same email address.
Therefore, these are sites being operated from a high-risk country by owners who have a pattern of shutting shop and reappearing under new names.
The website is absolutely pathetic and contains no information except for the product listings. Essential pages such as About Us, Contact Us and company policies are missing.
Aalux and Luxv claim that they have โguaranteed safe checkoutโ. This is a hilariously misleading statement as the payment methods that are available include Western Union, MoneyGram, Remitpay and Bitcoin.
These are all non-traceable and non-refundable methods, making them some of the worst ways that you can use for making payments to strangers.
There are no social media pages listed on the website itself. However, I found that Luxv.cn is promoting its products on Instagram using the handle @luxv.cn. The bio on Instagram falsely claims that Luxv is operating since 2010 even though there is no proof of this anywhere.
This account is also being used for advertising on Instagram. However, it is very odd that the Facebook page associated with the advertiser account of Luxv.cn is a dummy page called Photo.background. This shows that Luxv is not a real company.
The only way to contact Aalux and Luxv is using WhatsApp on a Chinese phone number +86 131 8870 9023. The display image is of a woman with her face covered wearing a LV scarf. I found that this is a random image that is being used by many accounts on various platforms.
The website contains a Reviews page and it is extremely likely that all the reviews here are fake. This is because the images of the supposed customers are stock photos which indicates that they are not real people.
I also found that many of the images posted by these โcustomersโ can also be found on other sites.
Further, I also found that Aalux and Luxv are sharing reviews. This is because there is a mention of Luxv.cn in a review on Aalux.ru even though both are separate sites. Therefore, it is not a stretch to believe that the reviews have been inserted by the website owners themselves.
The reviews for Aalux and Luxv that I could find outside the websites are all negative. I was alerted about this site by a reader who fell for their scam.
Other reviews corroborate her information that Aalux and Luxv are run by scammers who take money for the products and then stop replying.
Conclusion
It seems quite obvious that Aalux and Luxv aka Luxury V Store are scams. The sites are being operated anonymously from China and seem to pop up under many different names.
The prices and images on the sites suggest that they are selling counterfeits, which is undeniably illegal. However, Aalux and Luxv donโt seem to be guilty of selling fakes because customers say that they donโt deliver at all.
Payment is sought through untraceable and irreversible payment methods such as Western Union, Remitly, MoneyGram and Bitcoin. The company can only be contacted through WhatsApp on a Chinese phone number and they stop replying once the payment has been made.
The website itself has several reviews but the customers seem to be fake accounts. It is advisable to avoid shopping on Aalux and Luxv as they are not genuine stores.
In any case, it is never recommended to buy fake products, not only because you never know what you will get, but also because buying fakes supports criminal organizations that are involved in activities like child labour and human trafficking.
Remember, if something seems too good to be true, it probably is.
